Obama CIA Chief John Brennan Made Secret Visit to Russia Around Same Time as Fusion GPS Produced anti-Trump Memos

High-ranking Russian officials claim that CIA Director John Brennan visited Moscow on March 14 to meet with Russia’s federal intelligence agency. A CIA spokesman allegedly clarified that the meeting had nothing to do with Russia’s withdrawal from Syria.
“It’s no secret that Brennan was here,” claimed Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov. “But he didn’t visit the Foreign Ministry. I know for sure that he met with the Federal Security Service (the successor agency to the Soviet KGB), and someone else.”

No further remarks clarify what Brennan was allegedly doing in Moscow or what he discussed with the FSB. Syromolotov insists it had nothing to do with Russia’s withdrawal from Syria.

Sputnik News, a Kremlin-controlled propaganda outlet, quotes CIA Director of Public Affairs Dean Boyd as affirming that Brennan did, in fact, discuss Syria during the visit. “Director Brennan,” he allegedly said, “reiterated the US government’s consistent support for a genuine political transition in Syria, and the need for [President Bashar] Assad’s departure in order to facilitate a transition that reflects the will of the Syrian people.”

The same day of the alleged visit, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the removal of some of its military from Syria six months after the Kremlin began airstrikes in the region.

“The effective work of our military created the conditions for the beginning the peace process,” said Putin, adding:

“I hope today’s decision will be a good signal to all the conflicting sides. I hope this will significantly increase the level of confidence of all participants of the settlement process in Syria and will contribute to the solution of the Syrian issue through peaceful means.”
Putin allegedly decided to withdraw the military on his own, without requests from his advisers, reports note. He also told the news to the Syrian dictator personally on the telephone.

In the last week, the Syrian forces have pushed the Islamic State back into Raqqa, the self-declared capital of their Caliphate. The forces regained Khanasser and killed many Islamic State fighters with help from Russia and Hezbollah troops.

Syrian peace talks began in Geneva this week with Russia, sponsored by the United Nations. It includes a special delegation from Syria.

However, some believe Putin’s intentions are a ploy.

“Putin is just sending a message herein that he is ‘in control’ in Syria, and he can force Assad to the negotiating table, if or when he so wishes,” stated Tim Ash, head of emerging-market strategy at Nomura in London.

He also believes that Putin is making an attempt “to reinforce on the West that Russia can brings lots of ‘solutions’ in Syria, and all this still seems to be a Russian negotiating ploy with the West.’”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed the country has evidence that Turkey has expanded its mission in Syria.

“According to our information, they are digging in a few hundred meters from the border inside Syria,” he said.

Lavrov said the Kremlin believes that Turkey wants to “prevent Kurdish groups there from consolidating their positions” right across the Syrian border. The Turkish authorities also “imposed curfews on two mainly Kurdish towns.”

Study: Food Stamp Usage by New Immigrants More than Tripled in Last Decade

The number of new immigrants on food stamps has more than tripled over the last decade, a study by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals.

Between 2007 and 2017, food stamp usage by new immigrants to the United States has more than tripled from four percent in 2007 to 13 percent in 2017, CIS Director of Research Steven Camarotta finds in his latest study.

Native-born Americans’ food stamp usage increased as well, but not as much as new immigrants. For Americans, about six percent were on food stamps in 2007. In 2017, the number of native-born American households taking food stamps has ticked up to about ten percent.

The research means that new immigrants are now more likely than native-born Americans to use food stamps.
If an amnesty for illegal aliens enrolled in or eligible for the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program passed through the Republican-controlled Congress, about one in five amnesty recipients would end up on food stamps, Breitbart News reports.

Currently, the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants every year, with more than 70 percent coming to the country through chain migration. In the next 20 years, the current U.S. legal immigration system is on track to import roughly 15 million new foreign-born voters. Between seven and eight million of those foreign-born voters will arrive in the U.S. through chain migration.

The current inflow of millions of illegal and legal immigrants has kept labor cheap for big businesses while leaving American workers with stagnant and decreased wages for decades.

James Comey Under Fire for Leaking Classified Memos

Former FBI Director James Comey has questions to answer, after a report on Friday revealed he leaked at least two memos documenting his conversations with President Trump that contained classified information.

Comey leaked at least two memos with classified information to his friend, former federal prosecutor and Columbia University Professor Daniel C. Richman, documenting his private conversations with President Trump, according to the Wall Street Journal.

His leaking of classified information is currently under investigation by the Justice Department’s internal watchdog.

According to the report, Comey himself redacted elements of one of the memos that he “knew to be classified” before handing it over to Richman.

He reportedly determined that the other memo contained “no classified information,” but after he left the FBI, officials upgraded it to “confidential.”

Last year, Comey implied to senators during a June 8 hearing that the memos he gave to Richman on May 15 after he was fired on May 9 were not classified.

During that hearing, he said he wrote his memos in a way so that they would not be classified, so that the memos could be shared more easily among investigators and within the government, as Breitbart News has reported.

Comey said at the hearing, “If I write it such a way that doesn’t include anything of a classification, that would make it easier for to us discuss within the FBI and the government, and to hold onto it in a way that makes it accessible to us.”

However, his redaction of one of the memos before giving it to his friend shows he knew it was classified.

During that hearing, he also admitted he gave memos to Richman to give to the media for the purpose of prompting a special counsel investigation into Trump.

A source close to Trump’s legal team told Breitbart News at the time that they were planning to file complaints against Comey with the Justice Department inspector general. The DOJ IG’s office had pointed to an existing investigation on Comey, but did not say whether it would be expanded to include the leaking of the memos.
WSJ‘s report indicated that the inspector general took up the investigation. Whether the investigation will lead to a criminal referral is unclear.

Comey’s leaking of classified information puts him in the same boat as former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who sent classified material over her unsecured private email server. She argued that the material was not marked classified at the time she sent it, although investigators later found that not to be true.

The revelation of Comey’s leaking of classified information comes after the Justice Department handed his memos documenting his private conversations with Trump to House lawmakers on Thursday.

Of the seven that were handed over, four contained classified information. Comey apparently gave his friend at least two of those classified memos, with only one allegedly redacted.

The inspector general has the ability to refer Comey to the Justice Department for criminal charges, as he did with former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe earlier this week.

Trump indicated that he would not let Comey’s leaking go lightly.

“James Comey Memos just out and show clearly that there was NO COLLUSION and NO OBSTRUCTION. Also, he leaked classified information. WOW! Will the Witch Hunt continue?” he tweeted Thursday evening.
