The DCNF Files Lawsuit To Disclose Comey And Obama Meetings

The Daily Caller News Foundation and the watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday seeking records to determine the actual number of times and reasons former FBI Director James Comey met with then-President Barack Obama.

The request by the two organizations was filed because the former FBI director claimed he rarely met with Obama, and he was an independent and nonpartisan leader of the nation’s top law enforcement agency. The parties filed the lawsuit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Comey’s impartiality about his relationship with Obama was sharply called into question by the Senate Committee on the Judiciary when its chairman, Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, uncovered a private, undisclosed meeting Comey held with Obama on Jan. 5, 2017, two weeks before Trump’s inauguration.

TheDCNF requested, “records that identify and describe all meetings between former FBI Director James Comey and President Barack Obama,” in its Freedom of Information Act request before the FBI, which it filed Feb. 19.
On May 22, the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch sought records for a broader set of Comey meetings including Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and top political figures. Its request included records “written or ordered written by FBI Director James Comey summarizing his conversations with any of the following individuals: Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Senator Chuck Schumer, Representative Nancy Pelosi, and Senator John McCain.” Their timeframe for its request was between Sept. 4, 2013 and May 9, 2017.

Comey has carefully parsed his words about his interactions with Obama. In his June 8, 2017, testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence he suggested his firsthand meetings with the Democratic president were rare. He claimed he only spoke with Obama twice, once in 2015 and another “to say goodbye in late 2016,” according the former FBI director’s testimony.

“As FBI director, I interacted with President Obama. I spoke only twice in three years,” he said. “I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016,” Comey’s opening statement to the Senate Intelligence Committee read.

Grassley along with South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, who is a Judiciary subcommittee chairman, discovered through the National Archives that Obama met with Comey on Jan. 5, 2017, two weeks before Trump’s inauguration.

Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser, recorded the meeting in an email around 12 p.m on Inauguration Day. She addressed the email to herself.

“President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office,” Rice stated.

Obama’s former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper colluded with CNN over the debunked Trump-Russia dossier.

This news comes from the newly released House Intel report, which also concludes that there was no collusion between President Trump and Russia.
This is interesting to note since Clapper DENIED he spoke to the media.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper gave inconsistent testimony to a House panel about his contacts with CNN’s Jake Tapper regarding the infamous Steele dossier, according to a report released by congressional Republicans on Friday.

The report, published by the GOP side of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, shows that Clapper acknowledged speaking with Tapper about the dossier while he was still serving as director of national intelligence.

“I didn’t have any contact with media until after I left the government on the 20th of January, so I don’t quite understand, at least what I’ve read, that somehow I leaked about the dossier,” Clapper told Lemon in the interview.

“So you didn’t leak anything about the dossier to any media?” Lemon asked.

After Kanye Announced Support For Trump, He Leaked Obama’s Worst Nightmare

The Hollywood crowd and leftist activists are still freaking out as Kanye West continues to claim that he’s done with their political agenda. He supports President Donald Trump. In fact, Kanye just made former President Barack Obama’s head explode as his worst nightmare was exposed. Don’t miss this.

Kanye West seems to be in the middle of some type of “awakening.” At first, we thought it was just a publicity stunt, but as time goes on, he has countered every argument with sticking to his guns on Trump and what the president is accomplishing. Musician and Grammy winner John Legend tried to sway West back to the dark side, but Kanye shut him down, too.

Fox News reports, the controversial rapper tweeted a screenshot on Thursday of a private conversation he had with the singer, blasting his longtime friend for using “a tactic based on fear” to criticize West’s praise of Trump. Legend, an outspoken liberal, apparently texted West to express concern over his recent pro-Trump rhetoric.

“I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump,” Legend said. “You’re way too influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be part of your legacy.”
“I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought,” West responded.

Legend replied, telling West that his “words and actions have consequences” before joking, “Since you’re posting texts, let me add that I have a new single out.”

Unlike Shania Twain who is a Canadian and said during an interview that she “would have voted for Trump,” then freaked out when she started to get slammed by the rabid leftists, Kanye West has been attacked by big named celebrities along with the rabid left, yet he won’t back down.

This brings us to Barack Obama. Responding to all the Trump haters who were throwing out claims of “Trump racism” and downright lying about the president and hoping to get West to back down, the Chicago-based rapper and Grammy award winner tweeted, “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.”
Now, that may not be a shocker to you or me, but consider who reads Kanye West’s social media. This Obama truth bomb was dropped on West’s 28 million followers. His followers likely include millions of millennials and those who identify as liberals but don’t know why.

West also told radio host Ebro Darden, “I reached out to Obama for years and couldn’t get anything done [about violence in Chicago]. But Trump gave me a meeting.” This flies in the face of everything Obama lovers think he did for this country.

It also notes Obama’s poor record on the economy, which Trump mentioned when he spoke about Kanye West. Variety Magazine reports, “President Donald Trump took aim at lying James Comey, the FBI and the Justice Department in a telephone interview Thursday morning with the hosts of Fox News’ Fox & Friends. But he had kind words for hip-hop star Kanye West, who surprised fans this week by expressing his support for the President.”
“He’s got good taste,” Trump said of West. Trump credited his track record on economic issues for spurring West’s public show of appreciation. “Kanye looks and he sees black unemployment at the lowest it’s been in the history of our country,” Trump said. “He’s smart. And he says

It’s all over, Democrats.

The leftist rhetoric has been the same since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States:

He had help from Russia and this “collusion” must be exposed, and the leader of the free world must be punished accordingly.

But there was always one problem with this war cry: there was never an ounce of truth to it.

And that’s precisely the verdict the House Intelligence Committee returned today, as the group found there is “no evidence” of collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
That’s right. No evidence whatsoever.

Though the committee did say there was “poor judgment and ill-considered actions by the Trump and Clinton campaigns,” it remained firm in its stance that there was no collusion.

President Trump’s reaction to this news was swift and bold, as you might expect:
The committee’s investigation focused on a few major topics:

They looked at supposed Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election, our government’s response, and any ties between the Russians and Trump.

The final report does say Russia’s “increasingly aggressive cyber operations” will always be a “profound threat” unless addressed, and the country did use social media to “sow social discord and to undermine the electoral process.”

Even so, the group confirmed that:

“…no evidence that Trump campaign associates were involved in the theft or publication of Clinton campaign-related emails, although Trump associates had numerous ill-advised contacts with WikiLeaks.”

Then there’s a bonus on top of it all, which Hillary Clinton really won’t like:
“The Committee also found that the Clinton campaign and the DNC, using a series of cutouts and intermediaries to obscure their roles, paid for opposition research on Trump obtained from Russian sources, including a litany of claims by high-ranking current and former Russian government officials.

Some of this opposition research was used to produce sixteen memos, which comprise what has become known as the Steele dossier.”

Perhaps this will be enough to finally, at long last, lay this issue to rest.

But of course, liberals aren’t likely to give up easily. They’ll claim that this was a Republican-led investigation, so the results are unreliable. Of course, if Democrats led the probe, we could trust it, right?

At any rate, Trump is once again in the clear. And that’s very good news, no matter how you slice it!
