Melania Unable To Leave Hospital After Unexpected Events — Here’s What We Know

It has been four days since First Lady Melania Trump was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She was expected to return home to the White House by now, but apparently, some unexpected events have caused her to be unable to leave the hospital just yet. Here’s everything we know about the situation.

First Lady Melania Trump has been at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for four days, with no word on exactly when she will be released. A statement from the White House said she underwent an embolization procedure on Monday morning to treat a benign kidney condition, but this is usually an outpatient procedure, causing many to wonder why she has not yet returned home.

CNN reported, “Embolization ‘cuts off the blood supply to a certain part of the body,’ according to the National Institutes of Health. This procedure is mostly done as an outpatient, meaning the patient is discharged the same day.”
Adding to the public’s worries is the fact that President Donald Trump tweeted on Monday that his wife “is doing really well” and would be leaving the hospital in “2 or 3 days” after her procedure. By that account, she should be back at the White House by now.

Additionally, Melania tweeted on Wednesday that she was “feeling great” and looking forward to getting home. So, what has changed between now and then? Why hasn’t Melania come home? Have complications arisen? Why is she still in the hospital?
According to Dr. Mohamad Allaf, vice chairman of urology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, there could be a number of reasons for Melania’s prolonged stay. Dr. Allaf said the length of the first lady’s hospitalization is “somewhat atypical but not out of the question,” noting that it’s hard to tell absent more information about her. “It may be just out of an abundance of caution and privacy,” he said.

However, Allaf admitted that the extended length of Melania’s hospital stay “may imply that this is a little bit more of a complex situation” than previously thought.
“There are so many unknown factors about what was involved in the procedure [Melania had]. Was she under full sedation? There are many factors that could keep someone [in the hospital] a little longer,” said Dr. Jamin Brahmbhatt, a urological surgeon at Orlando Health.

Dr. Brahmbhatt said he would expect some patients to resume some regular activity the day after the embolization procedure, although they could still be in pain.

To discharge a patient, doctors typically look for three things: “They’ll be waiting to see how she eats. They’ll want her pain to be in control. They’ll want to make sure that the labs show she is stable. Once you meet those criteria, then we can send you home,” said Brahmbhatt.

This would suggest that the first lady does not meet at least one of these criteria at this time, so doctors have decided to keep her at the hospital a bit longer out of an abundance of caution. Perhaps she is not eating quite enough yet or she is in too much pain. Or, perhaps her labs have come back indicating that she is not totally stable.

It looks like Obama’s massive boondoggle of a Presidential Library has little to do with preserving history. And much more to do with his ego.

Presidential Libraries are supposed to preserve the documents and records of the leader’s time in office.

They are meant to be used by the public. We can visit any number of libraries to get a look at the work that President did for the country.

Not every American would like to do that. But these libraries are a valuable resource for students, historians, writers, and journalists. They hold the physical records of everything a President did.

Apparently, not this one. Instead of constructing a modest library that preserves the Obama White House, it’s all about Barry’s image. The incredibly expensive center seems to be more about glorifying the man’s legacy, rather than protecting history.

Not to mention the building will destroy several historic landmarks in Chicago.

Now a group is suing the project, exposing it as a con game.

A lawsuit filed Monday by Protect Our Parks is seeking to block construction of the center, alleging the city of Chicago has engaged in “a short con shell game” to help the former president construct the center.

It argues the project is not a true presidential library, as it will only have a digital archive of Obama’s presidential papers and not the documents themselves.

Yeah, not sure why a library needs a recording studio. Or basketball courts. Aren’t there other places where people can do that sort of thing? I guess Obama wants to entice young people to visit his monument. Obviously, most Millennials aren’t interested in reading stuffy old government documents. Hey, let’s build a basketball court to lure the kids in!

Because this was never about protecting history, but puffing up the former President’s ego.

It’s also pretty concerning that there will be not physical archive of documents. This “digital archive” is suspicious. Physical papers can’t be easily changed. But digital files can be altered, deleted, or hidden much easier. Perhaps the Obama administration doesn’t want people prying into its work.

That’s probably why they will distract visitors with games and music. Why go to a library to read!? I know I like to shoot some hoops at my local library. To hell with all those books.

Considering this is from the man who regarded the presidency as his own road to fame and glamour, I’m not surprised. The real crime is how this $500 million project will take money out of your pocket.

Second Massive Attack Today! Armed Assailant Storms Building Firing Rounds Trying To Get To Trump!

A man yelling “anti-Trump sentiment” was arrested early Friday morning after exchanging fire with police officers in the lobby of a hotel of one of the sprawling golf resorts owned by President Donald Trump near Miami. Yellow caution tape was seen stretched across the main gate of the Trump National Doral Golf Club Friday morning following the overnight rampage.

42-year-old Jonathan Oddi was taken to the hospital with multiple g-nshot wounds to his legs after a sho-tout with Miami-Dade police at the Trump-owned golf course. He snuck into the resort through a back entrance sometime around 1:30 AM EST. He was carrying an American flag with him that he lifted from the back of the complex. Once inside, Oddi draped the flag over the counter in the lobby and began yelling all sorts of anti-Trump sentiments before pointing a g-n at onlookers and sho-ting up the lobby roof and chandeliers with a handg-n.
Oddi’s current motives for bursting into the property are unknown at this time. Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez told Miami radio station 610 WIOD: “This guy was ready for war, he was waiting for our officers to come in.”

Perez describes Oddi’s crazed rambling as incoherent with the exact words being unclear, though Oddi’s words were decidedly of an anti-Trump sentiment and after engaging in a sho-tout with the local police he was “neutralized” after suffering multiple g-nshot wounds to the legs. He is currently listed in stable condition at the local hospital.

Eric Trump, second son of President Donald Trump took to social media to hail the officers’ response in a Twitter post early on Friday morning, stating: “A huge thank you to the incredible men and women of the @DoralPolice Department and @MiamiDadePD.”
Authorities say Oddi presumably tried to lure police officers into a sho-tout. Perez states: “It appears he was trying to engage our police officers… in some type of ambush-style att-ck. He prepared the area for battle.

Doral and Miami-Dade police officers reported they were called to the scene of the sho-ting around 1:30 a.m. local time after receiving reports of an “active sho-ter.” They responded immediately and jumped into the fray. Perez describes the actions of the officers stating: “In my opinion, they probably saved a hell of a lot of lives today because this could have gone a lot worse.”

Perez stated that officer injuries were minimal but a Doral officer did suffer a broken wrist as a result of the altercation. He is expected to be OK and make a full recovery though.
From NBC News: “Miami-Dade and Doral police responded to the scene after receiving calls of an active sho-ter.

Trump was in Washington at the time.

The officers were able to stop the g-nman during a sho-tout, with five officers firing their weapons, striking Oddi in the legs, Perez said. A Doral officer suffered a broken arm at the scene but was expected to be OK.

“You know, these officers did not hesitate one second to engage this individual that was actively sho-ting in the lobby of the hotel,” the police director added. “They risked their lives knowing that that they had to get in there to save lives in that hotel.”

Miami-Dade police said they were working with the FBI and Secret Service as part of the investigation into Oddi. Specific charges against the man were not immediately announced.

Investigators also searched Oddi’s home and car, but Perez said there was no evidence of booby traps.

Perez said officers’ “heroic” actions in stopping the g-nman helped to prevent what could have been a deadly tragedy.

As day was breaking Friday, the large golf facility in the growing suburb was surrounded by a heavy police presence and news helicopters hovered over the scene. The entrances were blocked, and yellow caution tape was stretched across the main gate. A Miami-Dade crime scene truck was parked inside the gate.
The golf resort previously known as the Doral Resort & Spa was purchased by the Trump Organization in 2012. Its signature course is the Blue Monster at Doral.”

Fox News reports of the incident: “The Secret Service says it is on the scene and helping in the investigation.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of sho-ting that took place early this morning at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Doral, FL,” it said in a statement. “Special Agents from the Miami Field Office are on the scene and working closely with our law enforcement partners.”

Authorities also said they are not ruling out terrorism. Police told WPLG that the suspect repeatedly called 911 and was actively sho-ting in an attempt to draw authorities inside
