Book of JASHER Part 4 – Joseph Rules Egypt, Jacob Dies and Israel’s Bodange

The Book of Jasher which means the Book of the Upright or the Book of the Just Man, is a lost book mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, often interpreted as a lost non-canonical book. The translation “Book of the Just Man” is the traditional Greek and Latin translation, while the transliterated form “Jasher” is found in the Apocrypha section of the King James Bible. The authentic version of the Book of Jasher was presented in 1840 and sold to a New York Jewish publisher in 1887. The book was printed in 1887 by Hyrum Parry Printing Company of Salt Lake City after they obtained rights to the New York edition of 1840. During the 18th century there were also fraudulent copies of the Book of Jasher that were published. The book is mentioned twice in the Hebrew Bible: Joshua 10: 13 and 2 Samuel 1: 18.
