Fox just made a TON of American’s very happy!

The network officially announced that they’re bringing back Tim Allen’s hit sitcom, “Last Man Standing” after ABC abruptly canceled the show last year.
Fox has made its final decision.

Tim Allen’s hit sitcom, “Last Man Standing” will make a rousing comeback, this time on a different network.

The previous six-season primetime show was abruptly canceled for no apparent reason by ABC executives last year, which left the cast blindsided by the decision.

“Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years,” Tim Allen tweeted right after it was canceled.
But it looks like Fox was willing to take a gamble on the popular show. Tim Allen and the network announced its official decision to revive the series on Friday.

“Excited? Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from Fox that it’s time to get back out on that diamond — hell yes, I’m excited!” Tim Allen said in a statement that broke the news on Friday. “When I heard the offer to create more episodes of Last Man Standing, I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out. It’s the fans!”
“I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show,” he continued. “And a fist pump, ouch, for Dana Walden and Gary Newman at Fox for not only listening to the fans, but for making the bold move to bring Last Man Standing back. I’m sure audiences will be curious to see what we look like after all these years. Oh, has it only been one year? Well, just goes to show you — a lot can happen in a year.”

Gary Newman and Dana Walden, chairmen and CEOs at Fox Television Group also thanked Tim Allen in a statement, calling him “irrepressible.”

There’s little doubt the show will do well given its six season success previously. And with “Roseanne” dominating ratings, due perhaps in part to its Trump-supporting protagonist, it seems like the only way for “Last Man Standing” is up.
