An Ohio man recently found out what happens when you tell the cops to get lost after he got pulled over for his homemade license plate on his car. The fed-up cop launches a “fur missile,” leaving the cocky driver in utter regret, and it was all caught on video.
Everyone knows that criminals aren’t very smart, and one guy in Canton, Ohio, recently decided to prove it when he thought it would be a good idea to snub his nose at the cops as they politely tried to convince him to comply after he was pulled over for his homemade license plate.
According to Blue Lives Matter, the shocking incident took place on Sunday, May 13, 2018, when the suspect, later identified as Ronald Wagner, refused to comply with an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper and three Canton Police Department Officers who asked him to identify himself.
Wagner tried to tell the officers that the traffic stop was unlawful and that he wasn’t required to have a license or a license plate to travel. “I’m just traveling as a man right now,” Wagner told the trooper, who told Wagner that he was required to provide a driver’s license or Social Security number for identification, and unfortunately for him, Wagner would not comply.
When the officers repeatedly told Wagner that the only choice they would have left, should he not comply, was to forcibly remove him from the vehicle, he still didn’t budge. “Driving is a privilege, not a right,” one of the officers told Wagner, whose idiotic response was that he was not driving at all but that, instead, he was simply traveling.
“You’re operating a motor vehicle,” the officer explained to Wagner. Again, Wagner argued with the officer that “driving” is a commercial term and did not apply to what he was doing. In all honesty, the officer speaking with Wagner, at that point in the video footage, was extremely patient and treated Wagner with respect.
For the officers, simply letting Wagner go after he was pulled over for having a homemade license plate would violate their sworn duties. Unfortunately, this guy had to be difficult, and things were about to take a serious turn for the worse.
After several more minutes of pleading with Wagner to comply, the officers prepared the “fur missile.” After placing tire puncturing devices under Wagner’s wheels, the officers called over a K9 unit. When the K9 officer approached Wagner’s vehicle, he said, “This is what is going to happen. As much as I’m a man, and I’m standing here alive today, this is what’s going to happen. We are going to break that window, at which time that window’s broken, I’m going to send this hundred pound Belgian Malinois in there and he’s going to apprehend you. At which time I’m going to drag him and you out onto the ground.”
He further warned, “You are going to be bitten by this K9 if you do not act accordingly. Are you willing to open this door and come out peacefully? Open the door or we’re breaking it and coming in for you.” After a few more minutes, the officers again warned Wagner that “this was his final chance.”
Ronald Wagner did not open the door, and the officers were forced to break his window. One officer could be seen going in through the passenger side window as another officer sent the Belgian Malinois through the driver’s side. Wagner was instantly sorry that he didn’t comply. It took a few painful minutes for Wagner to get into the position he was being ordered into by the officers as the dog kept a solid bite on his arm.
Wagner’s decision to thumb his nose at the officers who were trying to perform their duties turned out to be a nightmare for him. It would have been so much easier for Wagner if he had decided to comply with the lawful requests of the officers. After he was taken into custody, Wagner was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for his bite wound, according to the Canton Repository.
In my opinion, Wagner got exactly what he deserved. He was the one who decided to put a fake license plate on his vehicle before he was pulled over. When the officers politely asked him to comply and then pleaded with him, he still refused, knowing that they would have to force him out of the vehicle. This video is just more good proof that criminals aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.
