Monetary inflation doesn’t cause price inflation UNLESS it increases consumer spending, because prices follow demand. The only two ways consumer spending can increase is if employers increase wages or banks issue more consumer credit. All this bailout money has increased bank deposits so banks are dying to extend consumers more credit despite the recent history of bad lending standards. THIS is what will lead to inflation in the near future and the subsequent depression will be worse than ever.
