Reports indicate that over 100 Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) vehicles, including critical fire trucks, were out of service due to maintenance backlogs during the height of the crisis. The lack of functional fire equipment was exacerbated by policy decisions that prioritized political agendas over public safety.
