Limbaugh Just Declared Why “It Is The End Of CNN”

Rush Limbaugh has carved out a remarkable career for himself as the most successful figure in all of conservative talk radio. Over his career, Rush has watched as CNN pioneered the 24 hour news cycle and grew to prominence in the cable news world. The sharp-eyed Limbaugh detailed how CNN has now reached its inevitable end.

Said Rush on his show, “I think it was last week or the week before, I forget which, but I openly stated on this program that we are witnessing the decline and eventual demise of CNN. And that statement was picked up by several in the Drive-By Media, and panels were assembled to discuss my premise. ‘Do you really think,’ it was asked on Fox News, ‘do you really think this could be the end of CNN?’ It is the end of CNN.”

He later stated, referring to Trump’s controversial CNN tweet, “When I saw this, I was jealous. I was jealous that I didn’t do this. The video of Trump body slamming a CNN logo. I said, ‘This is great.’ Trump didn’t do it. He just retweeted it. But it was clever, it was funny, and it illustrated once again that modern-day journalism and modern-day liberalism have zero sense of humor. The serious outrage that this was met with is highly illustrative of just where modern-day liberalism is and who they really are.”
Rush continued, “I mean, CNN literally went bat crazy over this. They were acting like this is a direct assault on all members of the media. This is promoting violence against the media. Meanwhile, the only people being shot out there are Republicans. The only people being shot are Republicans, and they are deranged supporters of liberals like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, and they are listening to all the rhetoric that the Drive-By Media, including CNN, is using to make them insane, to rev them up.”

Rush commented, “I thought it was hilarious and funny. But it made some people nervous is my point. I saw a lot of people over the weekend and they said, ‘It’s just not presidential.’ I said, ‘Look, the problem is Trump didn’t start this.’ And I reminded every one of these people how every time I’ve talked to them over the years, at one point or another there’s widespread complaining about the media.

And there’s always somebody in the group, ‘Somebody’s gotta do something.’ Well, somebody is. And this is what it looks like. This is exactly what it looks like, whether you’re taking on the media or whether you’re taking on any other branch of the Washington ruling class or establishment.” Do you think Rush is right?

Report: CNN Is Now Losing The Primetime Ratings War To Nick At Nite

CNN’s primetime viewership for the week of June 6-July 2 reportedly saw the network clocking in behind the likes of HGTV, Nick-At-Nite and even ESPN.

As The Federalist puts it, “last week, more Americans tuned in to watch re-runs of ‘Yogi Bear,’ ‘Full House,’ and ‘Friends’ on Nick At Nite than to watch Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon’s shows on CNN.”

According to Breitbart, CNN currently sits in 13th place for 8pm–11pm ratings while Fox and MSNBC continue to hold first and second place respectively.
The best part? These numbers are from before CNN came under fire for threatening to dox a Reddit user who created a meme they didn’t like.

Of course, CNN still had quite a few controversies working against it during the week of June 26-July 2.

The outlet was already in damage control mode after being forced on June 24 to retract a false article citing anonymous sources as stating that a senior Trump ally was under investigation for ties to a Russian investment bank.

Three staff members directly involved in the matter subsequently resigned from the network amid intense mockery.

As big as that controversy was, however, perhaps none can compare to the magnitude of sheer savagery that has been unleashed on CNN following the network’s decision that it would be a good idea to threaten a Reddit meme maker with doxxing.
As reported previously, #CNNBlackmail was trending for much of the next day, with memes like the following making their way around the web in startling quantities.

CNN has made a number of additional gaffes as the backlash for that one rages on, too.

Tucker Carlson: Maxine Waters’ $4.3M ‘Housing Coup’ ‘Almost Qualifies’ Her for HUD Secretary

Wednesday, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host Tucker Carlson responded to Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) threat to take Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson’s “ass apart” because she believes he knows nothing about the HUD’s mission.

Carlson noted that Waters, a politician for 40 years, lives in a 6,000 square-foot mansion worth $4.3 million that is not even in her congressional district, saying that “almost qualifies her to be HUD Secretary herself.”

“[W]aters is a confirmed expert on the question of housing, especially her own housing,” Carlson stated. “Consider where she lives, in a 6,000 square foot, $4.3 million mansion in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Now, how did she afford a place like that after having spent the last 40 years working in government? We hate to speculate. How did she keep getting reelected despite not living in her own Congressional district? No clue there either. The district Waters actually represents in Congress has the second-highest percentage of African-American residents in the state of California.”
He continued, “Now, the neighborhood where Waters actually lives is just six percent black or, as she might put it herself if she didn’t live there, it is segregated — like 1950s level segregated. And as we’ve mentioned, it is really, really rich. So, how did Maxine Waters pull off a housing coup like that, who knows, but it almost qualifies her to be HUD Secretary herself.”
