Trump Clears The White House In Risky Move To Make Way For Special Guests He Wants To Pray With

Sutherland Springs, Texas is a community that will forever be changed and the members of First Baptist Church while battered and bruised, they are far from broken. The White House has invited members of the Texas church where a two dozen people perished last year to Washington for the National Day of Prayer. The prayer service at the White House comes just two days before the six-month anniversary of the church s******g that took the lives of 26 members of the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.

The surviving members of the heartbreaking incident were children with one just a few short weeks from birth. Another 20 members were injured. Multiple members of the same family perished and are still very much healing and grieving.

The members who will be traveling to the nation’s capital for the prayer service include Pastor Frank Pomeroy and his wife, Sherri. Pomeroy states both he and his wife will be speaking at the White House the day before and then praying at Thursday’s service. Sherri describes the invitation as an honor. The Pomeroys’ own 14-year-old daughter Annabelle was among the 14-year-old victims on that fateful November 5th day.

Pomeroy also spoke of the church’s plans to hold a memorial on this coming Saturday to honor victims and survivors. A groundbreaking ceremony will immediately follow for the new Sutherland Springs church building to be built next to the old church. The old church will currently and forever sit as a memorial for those lost loved ones. The church will be built of stone, symbolizing the strength and grit of a community that has been forever changed.
While it was hard to comprehend the incident, Pastor Pomeroy, who lost his own daughter in the s******g, reminded his congregation to put their faith in the Lord.

“You lean in to what you don’t understand, you lean into the Lord,” Frank Pomeroy told reporters during a press conference. “I don’t understand but I know my God does.”

Also speaking along with s******g survivor David Colbath, his son Morgan Colbath, and Sherri Pomeroy’s sister Sylvia Timmons will participate in a prayer service with the president for the National Day of Prayer, the newspaper reports.
According to the Dallas News –

“We did not expect a personal invitation to the White House from the President,” Sherri Pomeroy told the Express-News via text message. “When I received that email, I confirmed the legitimacy of the invitation and accepted, of course!”
The five Sutherland Springs visitors will be attending the National Day of Prayer’s evening services at the Capitol’s historic Statuary Hall. The Pomeroys will be interviewed by Pastor Ronnie Floyd, president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, and Frank Pomeroy will lead a short prayer — all live-streamed across the country.

They’ll also attend a private banquet the night before hosted by the Task Force.

“We are very honored that we are invited to the White House and asked to pray for our nation in this historic place,” Sherri Pomeroy said. “While this invitation is bittersweet because of the events that brought us to this place, may we never turn down a forum to share the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever it takes us.”

The National Day of Prayer will be held in Washington DC’s historic Statuary Hall, and is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was originally created in the year 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress. It was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

Melania Trump has good reason to laugh at Michelle Obama after she uttered three embarrassing words to high school seniors in Philadelphia at a College Signing Day event. Michelle’s statement was downright disgraceful.

According to Breitbart, former First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a star-studded College Signing Day event in Philadelphia on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, alongside celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Rebel Wilson, Bradley Cooper, Karlie Kloss, Ciara, Janelle Monae and Zendaya.

The event was held at Temple University to congratulate high school seniors for their decision to pursue a higher education. As the day unfolded, it began to look more and more like a bad episode of The Glee Club where it eventually led to a dance party onstage with Michelle and the A-listers.“We are all here because of you, and let me just say to all of the young people, um, not just here in this city but around the nation who are celebrating college signing day, we are proud of you. For me, this is my fifth signing day event,” Michelle said.

“We started doing this event back in 2014, you remember then, we were in the White House then. Yep, but that’s five years ago and back then we started by doing just about a couple of these kinds of events around the country and over the years more cities have signed on,” Michelle continued.

“What we know is what you all have figured out. There is nothing more important than your education and the fact that everybody in this arena is taking that next most important step to continuing your education. That is something worth celebrating,” Michelle added.
“The only reason I am standing here today is because I was where you were way back when. I was a kid who grew up on the south side of Chicago. I went to public schools my entire life, and when I decided that I wanted to go to college and I applied — Do you know what one of my college counselors told me? She told me don’t set my sights too high. Yeah, she told me that some of the schools that I was trying to apply to, maybe they were too hard for me,” Michelle said.

“Shoot, when Barack and I set foot in the White House it was a struggle. There were a lot of people who told us that we weren’t supposed to be in the White House. That we couldn’t handle the pressure, that we weren’t ready. So I’m telling you, they will doubt you today and they will doubt you for the rest of your life, but you will have some struggle and that’s okay,” she added.

“I’m not one of those doubters. I know you have everything it takes to succeed. I know you are me, and if I can be standing here as your forever first lady, then you can do anything you put your mind to,” Michelle said, according to Fox29 News.
The comment just rolled off her tongue with a rather disturbing and very uncute giggle to follow. How on earth can Michelle place herself above many other first ladies who came before her? She didn’t have any major achievements other than wrecking school lunch programs across the country.

To claim that she is America’s “forever first lady” is absolutely ridiculous. There are far more classy women who have held that title, including the beautiful and graceful Melania Trump who currently resides at the White House. Michelle’s embarrassing claim deserves to be laughed at for the mere fact that she is married to the man who did more to destroy our country than any other president in U.S. history.
In my opinion, Michelle needs to lay off the “forever first lady” comments. I’d say “forever hated” is more like it. For millions of American patriots, the Obamas could not leave the White House fast enough. Although it was a painful lesson, hopefully, voters will never put such classless degenerates in the White House again.

Thankfully, we have a president now who actually is DESERVING of the prestigious award, and 18 GOP lawmakers have just nominated President Trump for his HISTORIC negotiations with North Korea, who stands on the brink of ending their nuclear program and joining the world’s stage, focused on peace.
This is something NO past president has been able to pull off, and WORTHY of the Nobel Peace Prize.

A group of 18 House Republicans has formally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a letter sent Wednesday to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the lawmakers tapped Trump for the highly coveted prize for his efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and end the 68-year-old war between North and South Korea.

“Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons program and bring peace to the region,” the letter, led by Rep. Luke Messer (R-Ind.), reads.

“His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history.”

Messer first announced last week that he planned to nominate Trump for the prize, after a landmark meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

In that meeting, the leaders of the rival Koreas agreed to work toward eliminating nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula, and said they would enter into talks with the U.S. to formally end the Korean War.

Active fighting in the Korean War ended with an armistice in 1953. But a formal peace treaty was never signed, leaving the two countries in a perpetual state of war for decades.

Trump is set to meet with Kim at the end of May or sometime in June, marking the first such encounter between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader in history.
North Korea has agreed to cease its tests of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles ahead of the meeting, and recently announced that it would shutter a nuclear site in the northern part of the country as a show of good faith.
