Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich called-out disgraced FBI officials James Comey and Andrew McCabe Wednesday; blasting the bureau bosses for their outright “dishonesty” and self-serving, reckless behavior.

“It is very sobering and a little frightening to realize that the top two officials of the Federal Bureau of Investigation were dishonest,” writes Gingrich.

“You don’t have to believe me, you only need to read three sources: the memorandum written by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that led to Comey’s firing, the Office of the Inspector General’s report investigating McCabe’s actions as deputy director and Stewart Baker’s recent article, “The Low Tragedy of Andrew McCabe,’” he adds.

The former Speaker goes on to highlight Comey and McCabe’s sordid history of troubling behavior; detailing the “serious mistakes” made by the FBI officials throughout the 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified material.
It is very sobering and a little frightening to realize that the top two officials of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation were dishonest. To fully understand just how dishonest, self-serving and reckless former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe were during their service, you don’t have to believe me, you only need to read three sources: the memorandum written by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that led to Comey’s firing, the Office of the Inspector General’s report investigating McCabe’s actions as deputy director and Stewart Baker’s recent article, “The Low Tragedy of Andrew McCabe.” Reading and examining these three documents together will give you a sense of just how vast and dangerous the swamp has become.
Rosenstein’s memorandum outlining the “serious mistakes” made by Comey during the 2016 Clinton email investigation concluded that Comey was wrong to overstep his authority as FBI director and announce his recommendation that the investigation be closed during a press conference. According to Rosenstein, Comey’s public recommendation to the Justice Department was an abuse of Comey’s power and an overextension of his authority. The FBI’s role in a federal investigation is to determine if there is enough evidence to prosecute a case, while the attorney general designates authority to a federal prosecutor, who then makes a prosecutorial decision. Rosenstein, quoting former attorney general Michael Mukasey, who served under President George W. Bush, stated that Comey “ ‘stepped way outside his job in disclosing the recommendation in that fashion’ because the FBI director ‘doesn’t make that decision.’ ” The memo also quotes President Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, who asserted that Comey’s decision, “Was incorrect. It violated long-standing Justice Department policies and
traditions.” Holder determined that it ultimately “broke with … fundamental principles” and
“negatively affected public trust in both the Justice Department and the FBI.”
Many other attorneys generals and deputy attorneys general quoted throughout the memo
strongly objected to Comey’s actions, bringing Rosenstein to the conclusion that “Almost
everyone agrees that the Director made serious mistakes; it is one of the few issues that unites people of diverse perspectives.”
Rosenstein came to the conclusion that trust in the FBI could not be restored “until it has a
Director who understands the gravity of the mistakes and pledges never to repeat them.”
This was the report President Trump received just before firing Comey.
More recently, the report issued by the Office of the Inspector General investigating the
allegations directed toward former Deputy Director McCabe further weakened public and
congressional confidence in the FBI.
It reaffirmed that Comey’s improper ways were not the activities of an outlier but, more than likely, representative of the norm.

An earthquake this morning rattled a wide swath of Southern California, sparking fears that this may not be the worst. The 4.5 magnitude quake struck near Cabazon about 6 miles south-southeast of Mt. San Gorgonio just before 5 am local time.

Residents felt the quake and warned others to be prepared because this was minor compared to historical quakes, and the close proximity to the San Andres fault line.
No damage has been reported yet as the magnitude appears to be fairly small, but the shaking was felt by residents across the Inland Empire. The quake occurred at 4:49 a.m. at a depth of 8 miles, the U.S Geological Survey said. Its epicenter was located in Riverside County, 6.8 miles north of Cabazon and 20 miles northwest of Palm Springs. It originally was measured as a 4.6 quake before being downgraded to a 4.5 magnitude.

According to The LA Times, the quake was followed by several aftershocks. This marks the second time in little more than a month when the region was hit by a small quake felt over a large area. On April 5, a 5.3-magnitude quake centered in the Channel Islands off Santa Barbara County rattled nerves.

But experts have recently said that the Hayward Bay faultline in the San Francisco Bay area is more dangerous and volatile than the infamous San Andreas fault line. However, a large quake on either fault line would impact millions and cause untold amounts of damage based solely on population density.

The scariest scenario for the next major earthquake may not be from the San Andreas Fault (though that one still threatens), but from the Hayward Fault that runs along the east side of the San Francisco Bay. In fact, many say that the next earthquake on the Hayward Bay fault line would be “disastrous.”According to KTUV, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake along the Hayward Fault could kill as many as 800 people and injure 18,000, according to results of a new research released Wednesday. –SHTFPlan

According to Business Insider, the statistical chances of this type of an earthquake occurring on the Hayward Bay fault line are not very comforting either. There’s about a 76% chance that the San Francisco Bay Area could experience a 7.2 magnitude earthquake within the next 30 years, according to some recent reports.

*I’m going to add a tad to Mac’s report. Having lived in California my entire life (with the exception of a year in Hawaii) I can tell you that earthquakes are pretty damn scary.

I was a general contractor at the time and let me tell you, I made a ton of money rebuilding homes. My clientele were primarily celebrities and Hollywood elites and let me tell you- I charged those liberal scumbags TOP DOLLAR! LMAO!

At the time I really wasn’t political so I worked with the libs but now I won’t even associate with them.

TRASH.

Obama Responds to Trump Ending the Iran Dear and He’s NOT Happy

Obama Responds to Trump Ending the Iran Dear and He’s NOT Happy

Today President Trump pulled the United States out of Obama’s disastrous Iran deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Obama just responded to this decision and needless to say he’s not happy, calling Trump’s actions “misguided.”
“This was a horrible, one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made,” Trump said. “It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will.”

Well now, Obama has responded.
In a long statement, the former president explained that “today’s announcement is so misguided.”

He added, “Walking away from the JCPOA turns our back on America’s closest allies, and an agreement that our country’s leading diplomats, scientists, and intelligence professionals negotiated.”

Obama explained his reasoning in six different points:

1. First, the JCPOA was not just an agreement between my Administration and the Iranian government. After years of building an international coalition that could impose crippling sanctions on Iran, we reached the JCPOA together with the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union, Russia, China, and Iran. It is a multilateral arms control deal, unanimously endorsed by a United Nations Security Council Resolution.

2. Second, the JCPOA has worked in rolling back Iran’s nuclear program. For decades, Iran had steadily advanced its nuclear program, approaching the point where they could rapidly produce enough fissile material to build a bomb. The JCPOA put a lid on that breakout capacity. Since the JCPOA was implemented, Iran has destroyed the core of a reactor that could have produced weapons-grade plutonium; removed two-thirds of its centrifuges (over 13,000) and placed them under international monitoring; and eliminated 97 percent of its stockpile of enriched uranium – the raw materials necessary for a bomb. So by any measure, the JCPOA has imposed strict limitations on Iran’s nuclear program and achieved real results.

3. Third, the JCPOA does not rely on trust – it is rooted in the most far-reaching inspections and verification regime ever negotiated in an arms control deal. Iran’s nuclear facilities are strictly monitored. International monitors also have access to Iran’s entire nuclear supply chain, so that we can catch them if they cheat. Without the JCPOA, this monitoring and inspections regime would go away.

4. Fourth, Iran is complying with the JCPOA. That was not simply the view of my Administration. The United States intelligence community has continued to find that Iran is meeting its responsibilities under the deal, and has reported as much to Congress. So have our closest allies, and the international agency responsible for verifying Iranian compliance – the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

5. Fifth, the JCPOA does not expire. The prohibition on Iran ever obtaining a nuclear weapon is permanent. Some of the most important and intrusive inspections codified by the JCPOA are permanent. Even as some of the provisions in the JCPOA do become less strict with time, this won’t happen until ten, fifteen, twenty, or twenty-five years into the deal, so there is little reason to put those restrictions at risk today.
6. Finally, the JCPOA was never intended to solve all of our problems with Iran. We were clear-eyed that Iran engages in destabilizing behavior – including support for terrorism, and threats toward Israel and its neighbors. But that’s precisely why it was so important that we prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Every aspect of Iranian behavior that is troubling is far more dangerous if their nuclear program is unconstrained. Our ability to confront Iran’s destabilizing behavior – and to sustain a unity of purpose with our allies – is strengthened with the JCPOA, and weakened without it.

He stated that “without the JCPOA, the United States could eventually be left with a losing choice between a nuclear-armed Iran or another war in the Middle East.”

“Going forward, I hope that Americans continue to speak out in support of the kind of strong, principled, fact-based, and unifying leadership that can best secure our country and uphold our responsibilities around the globe,” he concluded.
