John McCain has a very, very bad nickname.

Songbird.
Why does he have that particular nickname?

Because when he was a POW in Vietnam, the torture tactics worked on him, and he “sang” and ratted out his brothers.

This is the likely reason why McCain is now refusing to support President Trump’s capable nominee Gina Haspel for CIA Director since Haspel believes in “enhanced interrogation.”
Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney on Thursday referred to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., as “Songbird John” and said torture worked on the former POW.

McInerney, during an interview on Fox Business Network, was slamming McCain’s refusal to support CIA director nominee Gina Haspel over her past work at the agency involving enhanced interrogation techniques that are considered torture.

“The fact is, is John McCain — it worked on John. That’s why they call him ‘Songbird John,’” McInerney said.

“The fact is those methods can work, and they are effective, as former Vice President Cheney said. And if we have to use them to save a million American lives, we will do whatever we have to,” he continued.

McInerney was assistant vice chief of staff at U.S. Air Force headquarters in Washington, where he was charged with the organization and administration of the branch’s personnel.

On Wednesday night, McCain implored his Senate colleagues to reject Haspel’s nomination, citing her inability to address concerns with her role in the use of enhanced interrogation techniques during the Bush administration at a CIA black site in Thailand.

McCain, a former naval aviator, spent more than five years in prison after being captured by the North Vietnamese in 1967 during the Vietnam War.

He has been a vocal critic of torture since experiencing it as a POW before his release in 1973. McCain made his announcement from his home in Arizona, where he is being treated for an aggressive form of brain cancer.

On May 9, three members of Red Skin Kingz, also known as RSK, were sentenced to prison following their respective guilty pleas to RICO conspiracy for their participation in the violent RSK criminal street gang.

Devan Edward Leonard, 28, of Lukachukai, Arizona, the leader of RSK, was sentenced to 50 years in prison; Kyle Filbert Gray, 26, of Lukachukai, Arizona, was sentenced to 30 years in prison; and Lucille Jean Leonard, 48, of Lukachukai, Arizona, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. All defendants were sentenced by U.S. District Judge David G. Campbell in the District of Arizona

Acting Assistant Attorney General John P. Cronan of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth A. Strange for the District of Arizona, Special Agent in Charge Michael DeLeon of FBI’s Phoenix Field Office and Colonel Frank Milstead of the Arizona Department of Public Safety announced the sentencings. The Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety also provided significant assistance during the investigation.
As detailed in their three plea agreements, Devan Leonard, Kyle Gray, and Lucille Leonard are members of the RSK. RSK operated on the eastern side of the Navajo Nation in the District of Arizona. RSK was responsible for at least three murders, attempted murder, aggravated assaults, kidnappings, and drug trafficking, amongst other crimes.

On or between Dec. 12 and Dec. 13, 2014, Devan Leonard and another RSK member shot and killed two men, in Lukachukai, Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation, where the bodies were dismembered, burned and buried, to conceal the killings.

On Dec. 16, 2014, Kyle Gray and Devan Leonard shot and killed another victim immediately following a drug trafficking transaction. Later, Devan Leonard and Kyle Gray transported the victim’s body to a remote sheep camp on the reservation, where they dismembered, and burned the victim’s body.

Lucille Leonard held a leadership role in RSK, mostly participating in and overseeing RSK’s drug trafficking organization, including the collection of debts owed to RSK.

The second superseding indictment in this matter was the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, and the Criminal Division’s Organized Crime and Gang Section. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Dimitra Sampson and Tracy Van Buskirk of the District of Arizona, and Trial Attorneys Kelly Pearson and Hans Miller of the Criminal Division’s Organized Crime and Gang Section prosecuted the case.

Monica Lewinsky, well known for being the intern who had an alleged affair with former president Bill Clinton, was just caught in another scandal that has eyes rolling after what just happened to her because once again, she got screwed! Lewinsky was invited to an event, but then there was a major change in the plans after Bill Clinton himself got involved in the mess. Bill Clinton was invited and he accepted, so the people who ran the event then told Monica Lewinsky she was no longer welcome. How about that for taking one for the team? Imagine being invited to a party and then the person you had an alleged affair with is coming too, but they get to keep their invite and you don’t. Sounds fun, right?

It gets better. The people who invited Monica Lewinsky, then uninvited her once Bill Clinton accepted his invite, had tried to make things better but only ended up making them worse. It was reportedly Town & Country Magazine who extended the invite, then yanked it back in a “sorry, we were just kidding” type of way because they would rather have the alleged adulterer Bill Clinton at their function instead of the intern known for her messed up dress. Town & Country Magazine then allegedly offered to do an article for Lewinsky, but it appears as though she declined. It seemed like she found it to be more of an insult to injury rather than an acceptable way to make good on the failed invitation.
Newsweek reported: Monica Lewinsky was uninvited to an event after former President Bill Clinton accepted an invitation to the same function—and she’s not happy about it.

“Dear world: please don’t invite me to an event (esp. one about social change) and—then after I’ve accepted—uninvite me because Bill Clinton then decided to attend/was invited,” Lewinsky wrote on Twitter Wednesday. “It’s 2018. Emily Post would def not approve.”

Although Lewinsky did not offer an explanation as to what the event was, Huffpost and Clinton’s representation both confirmed that the activist was talking about an annual philanthropic summit run by Town & Country Magazine that commences Wednesday morning.

Angel Urena, Clinton’s spokesperson, responded on Twitter, claiming that her client did not know Lewinsky was also invited to the event or that her invitation was “rescinded” due to his appearance.

“President Clinton was invited to address the Town & Country Philanthropy Summit,” he wrote. “He gladly accepted. Neither he nor his staff knew anything about the invitation or it being rescinded.”

In the 1990s, Clinton and Lewinsky engaged in an affair while the then 22-year-old was an intern at the White House. When the infamous extra-marital relationship was revealed in 1998, authorities launched a high-profiled investigation into the matter, thrusting Lewinsky into the limelight. Clinton was impeached for lying under oath and obstructing justice, but was later acquitted in another Senate trial.

Now Lewinsky, 44, is an anti-bullying activist and fashion designer. In February, Lewinsky wrote a powerful personal essay for Vanity Fair, where she reflected on the scandal and praised the #MeToo movement for allowing her to view the incident through a different lens.

“Given my PTSD and my understanding of trauma, it’s very likely that my thinking would no
