After a 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines, the Ring of Fire was put on alert. After dozens of earthquakes rocked Hawaii this month, followed by a volcanic eruption, many fear the Ring of Fire has become much more active, which has prompted scientists to warn California.

The recent and strong Philippines earthquake struck 113 miles from Davao, which is home to about 1.2 million people. No tsunami threat has been issued for the Philippines, however, which is made up of more than 7,500 islands. The lack of tsunami warning has slightly calmed the fears of those living in the vicinity of the quake, but those who reside near the Ring of Fire are on alert.

Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, which could be set to unleash its biggest eruption yet in the coming week, along with the 5.2 magnitude earthquake in the Philippines has scientists looking more closely at the densely populated state of California. According to The Express UK, the Pacific Ring of Fire volcanoes are more explosive than the ones located in the island state of Hawaii. With Hawaii experiencing widespread devastation at the hands of the Kilauea volcano, geologists are now warning that California could be the next in line for an explosive eruption.
California, which sits on the volatile Pacific Ring of Fire, and is well overdue for a massive and devastating earthquake. The state is also now on volcano alert. Scientists are warning that a volcanic eruption in the state is “due” according to their predictions.

The California Volcano Observatory (CVO) revealed that seven of the state’s 19 volcanoesare at high threat, with a three of those at “very high” risk of imminent eruption. According to the CVO, these California volcanoes are more dangerous than Hawaiian volcanoes because they are blast volcanoes, which are more destructive. “What we would expect here, would be more like Mt. Saint Helens. More of an explosive eruption,” said Tim McCrink with the California Geological Survey. “So that puts a lot of rock and dust and gasses in the air.”

Geologist Montgomery Brown said there’s a 25 percent chance another could blow within the next 30 years. According to Brown, that is “the same probability as a major San Andreas fault earthquake.” But some say the Hayward Bay fault line, which runs directly through the heavily populated San Francisco Bay Area in California could be even more dangerous than the San Andres.

Dr. Margaret Mangan, who runs the CVO, added to the alert. “California is not only earthquake country, it’s volcano country too,” Dr. Mangan said. Dr. Brian Hausback, a US geologist, told CBS: “If one of these volcanoes decides to erupt, it will catch the world’s attention. These areas have high populations, infrastructure like power plants, and high level of air traffic in the area,” he said. “There is no stopping a volcanic eruption. It is very likely that one of them will erupt in the near future, it is due.”

Alerts on Kilauea volcano still remain in place as well, with a “huge eruption” feared as the lava level in the volcano drops, indicating a build-up in pressure. That pressure could very well explode into an eruption of massive magnitude.

The Ring of Fire appears to continue to come alive.

Sanders Witnesses One of ‘Most Powerful Moments’ of Her Life as Trump Meets Wounded Military Hero

It was a perfect moment that was shared between President Donald Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, John Kelly, and the many service members who were at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. President Trump spent time with many of the members, talking to them, awarding at least one young member a Purple Heart for being wounded in combat, and basically acknowledging the loyalty and bravery that the young soldiers exhibit towards America.

It was a time that Sarah Sanders stated was one of the ‘most powerful moments’ of her life as she watched the President of the United States award a young soldier with the Purple Heart. Sanders spoke of the strength and resilience exuded by the young men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting the freedom of ours. It’s a time that seems to have spoken volumes as she watched people be given the respect and love that they deserve from the leader of the country.
IJR reported more on the visit by President Trump and his administrative crew: “On Thursday afternoon, President Donald Trump visited the wounded service members being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. White House chief of staff John Kelly accompanied him on the visit.

During the trip, Trump spoke with the military members there, but there was one moment that stood out for White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Calling it “one of the most powerful moments” of her life, Sanders witnessed Trump award a wounded service member with the Purple Heart, the medal reserved for those injured in combat.

“Amazed by the strength and resilience of the men and women in our Armed Forces,” she added.

Trump is not the only member of his administration to visit troops in preparation for the Christmas season. Vice President Mike Pence visited and gave a speech to troops deployed in Afghanistan. “Give yourselves a round of applause. We couldn’t be more proud of every one of you,” he told them.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis is also on a trip visiting service members across the United States. He first stop was to talk with troops stationed at U.S. Navy base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.”

President Trump has time and time again displayed his gratitude for the American military. He constantly faces a barrage of criticism from those who oppose his leadership, yet he remains resilient just like the brave American soldiers are when they’re faced with a hostile situation. President Trump has long been a great supporter of the Armed Forces, something that many critics say the former president may have lacked enthusiasm for.

Honoring the members of the American military is a great honor, as they are the ones responsible for maintaining the level of freedom we endure today, and most notably – the elder retired veterans really played a true part in our ability to have this much freedom.
It doesn’t matter who the president is as long as the American troops get the honor, respect, and recognition they so much deserve. The brave people who are willing to fight, defend, and protect America and its core values and freedom are some of the most notable people in this great country.

The only problem with the military is that the veterans should be treated much better than what they sometimes report. The Veterans Affairs appears to consistently receive complaints about the conditions of their facilities and the treatment of their patients. There are people who go into full combat for this country, deployed away from their families and fighting in hostile warzones, then come home and are treated poorly. The level of care for military veterans needs to be increased because it’s current treatment is seemingly unacceptable.

Anyone can search for many of the numerous cases of poor conditions or mistreatment or lack of quality treatment that American veterans receive.

Trump Shares Heartwarming Call With ‘Waffle House Hero’

On Monday, President Trump spoke to the man who is hailed as the “Waffle House Hero.”

After a deranged shooter entered a Tennessee Waffle House, James Shaw jumped into action and wrestled the gun from the man. President Trump praised the 29-year-old for his bravery and “quick thinking” during the phone call.
President Trump spoke Monday with James Shaw Jr., the man who stopped a gunman who opened fire at a Waffle House in Tennessee last month, the White House said Monday.

White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah said the president called Shaw on Monday morning and praised him for his “heroic actions and quick thinking” during the shooting last month.

“Mr. Shaw saved lives when he wrestled a gun from an active shooter who had opened fire,” Shah said. He said he did not know whether Shaw was invited to the White House.

Shaw, 29, rushed and disarmed the suspected gunman, Travis Reinking, when he opened fire with an AR-15 rifle at the Nashville-area Waffle House. Shaw wrestled the firearm away from Reinking when he went to reload his gun.

Four people were killed and at least seven were injured in the shooting.

On Sunday, Shaw met with survivors from the Feb. 14 shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla., where 17 people were killed.
