Andy Lassner, the foul-mouthed executive producer of “The Ellen Show,” took to Twitter over the weekend to insult President Donald Trump as he has done time after time over the past few years. However, this time ended much differently. When conservative actor James Woods saw what Lassner was up to, he immediately humiliated the liberal producer.
Andy Lassner is the executive producer of “The Ellen Show,” and he’s a flaming liberal. He uses his verified Twitter account to habitually attack President Donald Trump and anyone who aligns with him politically, especially members of his administration and members of his family.
On Sunday, Lassner was back at it, this time mocking Trump and his followers. “I love how Trump takes to twitter to try and rile up his followers,” tweeted the producer. “Like a bunch of nameless/faceless people with MAGA and PATRIOT hashtags in their bios are going to do a f*cking thing.”
Conservative actor James Woods was quick to point out the irony in Lassner’s attempted insult, countering, “We put your old, drunken hag back on the sidewalk where she belongs instead of in the White House where in fact President Trump is at this very moment.”
Can someone get Lassner some ointment for that burn? He walked right into that one. No one has ever accused a liberal of being particularly intelligent, so we’re not surprised.
Lassner took a page from Hillary Clinton’s playbook when he insulted Trump’s supporters. He should have known it would backfire, as it did for Clinton, but you know what they say about those who don’t learn from history.
Hillary Clinton said after the 2016 election that her decision to label many Trump supporters “deplorables” was a “political gift” to President Trump. Apparently, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Clinton offered some rather unvarnished remarks in India this weekend that sound a lot like her “deplorables” commentary from September 2016. She played up the states that supported her as more economically advanced than the states that voted for Trump, calling them “dynamic” and “moving forward.” Then she again suggested Trump supporters were motivated by animosity toward women and people of color.
“If you look at the map of the United States, there’s all that red in the middle where Trump won,” Clinton said. “I win the coast. I win, you know, Illinois and Minnesota — places like that.” She went on: “But what the map doesn’t show you is that I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.”
Then she turned to Trump’s voters: “And his whole campaign — ‘Make America Great Again’ — was looking backward. You know, you didn’t like black people getting rights; you don’t like women, you know, getting jobs; you don’t want to, you know, see that Indian American succeeding more than you are — you know, whatever your problem is, I’m gonna solve it.” [Source: The Washington PostWhat Hillary Clinton and her cronies in Hollywood don’t seem to realize is that alienating the millions of Americans who voted for Donald Trump is a terrible way to earn support. Andy Lassner’s claim that Trump and his supporters will never “do a f*cking thing” is hilarious. Trump has already accomplished more during his first year in office than his predecessor. Keep tweeting, Andy. The only person you’re hurting is yourself.
