President Donald Trump is being heralded as a hero for solving a problem that has been nearly eight years in the making and is something that former President Barack Obama wasn’t able to get done while he was in the White House. However, it seems like Obama will take the blame for what happened as many of his critics believe it was his program that cost a family the life of their loved one.
It all started in 2010 when Brian Terry, a United States Border Patrol Agent, lost his life to the senseless and violent act from a cartel gang member after they were provided with a weapon during Obama’s “Operation Fast and Furious.” That same program was later majorly criticized for what happened and many people believed that more justice needed to be had in a faster time frame, but people didn’t get it. After the horrible incident took place, the family of Terry wanted justice but years went by and they didn’t receive the closure that would help put their family at ease – even though it wouldn’t ever bring back their fallen family member.
A huge announcement was made that likely brought the Terry family to tears as they captured the man responsible for taking his life. It only took eight years, but that’s better than not ever bringing the family nightmare to a close. The suspect who was captured is Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes and he was captured in Mexico and the United States will try to extradite him.
Conservative Tribune provided several other details on the capture: “In 2010, United States Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was k****d by a Mexican cartel member with a g*n supplied by the U.S. government under former President Barack Obama’s “Operation Fast and Furious.”
On Wednesday, the same suspected cartel member was reportedly arrested by a joint U.S.-Mexico law enforcement task force that included members of the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshals and the Border Patrol Tactical Unit, according to Fox News.
Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes was captured at a ranch on the border of the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Chihuahua, and U.S. authorities have said they will seek his extradition.
Osorio-Arellanes was believed to have been involved with the Dec. 14, 2010, gunfight between Border Patrol agents, including Terry, and members of a five-man cartel “rip crew” known for robbing drug dealers along the border.
Terry’s d***h exposed Operation Fast and Furious, in which the federal government — under the direction of Obama’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives — allowed criminals to buy g**s in Phoenix-area shops with the intention of tracking them once they made their way into Mexico.
However, as per usual whenever the federal government is involved in a grand scheme, the plan went sour, and the bureau lost track of more than 1,400 of the 2,000 g**s they allowed smugglers to buy.
Two of those g**s were found at the scene of Terry’s k*****g.
Four members of the “rip crew” have already been sentenced to jail time in the U.S., including Manual Osorio-Arellanes, who was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to first-degree m****r in February 2014.
Ivan Soto-Barraza and Jesus Sanchez-Meza were convicted in October 2015 by a federal jury of nine different charges, including first-degree m****r and attempted armed robbery.
Rosario Rafael Burboa-Alvarez was sentenced to 27 years in prison for his role in assembling the “rip crew.”
The last remaining member of the cartel, Jesus Rosario Favela-Astorga, was believed to still be at large.
Despite Obama’s massive failure to keep our Border Patrol agents safe and subsequent failure to bring Terry’s k****r to justice, President Donald Trump has once again proven that his “tough on crime” and “tough on border issues” approach is a success.
Although Osorio-Arellanes has not yet been found guilty, his arrest and capture is the best news we’ve heard regarding the failed Fast and Furious operation in a long time.”
The Terry family must be relieved that their eight-year nightmare might eventually come to a close, but unfortunately, it will not bring back their loved one who dedicated his life to serving America.
Do you think the family will be happy to hear about the capture and arrest?
What should the criminal’s punishment be?
