Baghdad, IRAQ – The Iraqi military intelligence department has announced that they prevented a major ISIS terrorist attack against troops in the desert of Anbar province.

In a statement on Friday, the department said “the troops of the 10th division carried out an operation that managed to thwart a scheme planned by terrorists who were going to target the security forces.”
Moreover, the department said “an operation was launched that raided two rest houses of Islamic State, north of al-Thirthar desert in Anbar.” Huge amounts of weapons were seized inside them, Iraqi News reported.

Earlier today, a paramilitary leader was quoted saying that Iraqi army warplanes killed seven Islamic State militants after bombarding their locations in Wadi Jaal in Hit, west of Anbar.

Qatari al-Obaidi, a local mobilization troops commander in Anbar, told Almaalomah website that army aviation targeted an underground tunnel belonging to the group in Wadi Jaal in Hit, west of the province, leaving more than seven militants dead.

Earlier RWT reported that in Baghdad, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced carrying out airstrikes against Islamic State members in Syria, adding that some locations were completely destroyed.

In a statement on Thursday, the command said “in response to commands by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Haidar al-Abadi, and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command, the Iraqi F16 jets carried out today airstrikes against Islamic State locations as well as a missile stock, where militants were hiding, in Hegeen region in Syria.”

“According to preliminary information, the operation destroyed locations completely,” it added.

Earlier this week, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi has said troops managed to secure the Syrian side of borders and eliminate Islamic State members in Upper Euphrates. He also made instructions to secure the Iraqi borders to limit the infiltration of the terrorists.

The Iraqi-Syrian borders are under the control of joint troops of military and border guards.

Iraqi warplanes launched, earlier this month, a new wave of air raids against outposts of the Islamic State group in Syria.

Iraq declared victory over Islamic State militants in December, ending three years of operations to retake territories occupied by the militants to declare a self-styled “caliphate”.

Anbar’s town of Rarwa, close to borders with Syria, was the last ISIS bastion recaptured by the Iraqi forces. The government had said its forces regained full control over the borders with Syria, but militants have staged occasional attacks from there, prompting the government to carry out military raids on the group’s locations inside Syria.

With everything that is going on in the world negatively, it is always nice to hear good stories of good people who go out of their way to help their fellow Americans. Especially in times of need. Which is exactly why this story will warm your heart.

Tea Party Org reported,

“Landon Routzong of Troy, Alabama, has a big heart for the age of 9, and he proved just how big over the weekend at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru. While he and his mother were waiting in line to pick up their lunch, Landon Routzong noticed the Florida license plate on the back of the car in front of theirs. So, he told his mom he wanted to pay for that car’s meal.

“I didn’t want them to waste their money on food because they’re trying to escape the hurricane,” Landon Routzong told ABC News. “I felt like I should help out.” But in order to pay for the meal, he had to get to the drive-thru window before the Florida car did. As a result, his mother, Tara Parker Routzong, gave him her debit card and told him to run.
The man in the Florida car agreed to let Landon Routzong pay for his meal. Later, the man pulled over to meet the family, telling the mother and her son he was from Miami and was fleeing Hurricane Irma. He said was on his way to Birmingham to stay with relatives. “Landon and I both had tears in our eyes from how appreciative he was,” Tara Parker Routzong wrote on Facebook in a Friday post detailing the encounter. Routzong’s post has since been shared over 700 times has over 1,800 likes.”

Tara Parker Routzong told Inside Edition she and her husband always try to help out. She was proud to see her son do the same thing. “A 9-year-old could be focused on so many other things, but whenever a situation presents itself, Landon is always thinking of how we can help,” she said. Routzong said the encounter gave her hope that she is doing a good job as a mother.

“I often feel like I’m failing because I can’t do it all, all the time and then things like this happen and remind me that I don’t have to,” she said in her Facebook post. “My most important job is going just fine.” Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a tropical storm after it made landfall along the coast of Florida over the weekend. But the storm’s overall damage has been severe, with more still to come.

Irma still had sustained winds of up to 70 mph as of Monday afternoon, while over 6.2 million Floridians have experienced power outages. Irma is considered to be one of the worst hurricanes ever formed in the Atlantic Ocean.”
The Facebook post read the following,

“Went to Chick Fil A for lunch today because yum. Landon saw the car in front of us was from Florida (we have been talking about Irma today) and he declared we were paying for their meal and I agreed. But how do you pay for the car in front of you?? You run toward their window with a debit card in hand and scare the mess out of them lol The man has left his home in Miami and was passing through to go stay with family in Birmingham. I told him we hoped he returned to his house untouched and that we’d keep him in our thoughts. Landon and I both had tears in our eyes from how appreciative he was. I often feel like I’m failing because I can’t do it all, all the time and then things like this happen and remind me that I don’t have to. My most important job is going just fine.”
All of the hurricanes that hit Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Carribean Islands to name a few devastated the communities that it touched and left nothing but wreckage in its path. Now they are finally getting cleaned up but it has been a process and so many more are still struggling to recoup what they lost. Knowing that young men and women like this are out there doing good deeds brings such a positive light to these tragedies.

Next time you see someone struggling, or escaping hardship go out of your way like this young man to make their day a positive one. We could all learn a good lesson from him. Even though he is so young.

The parents of a now 18-year-old girl are feeling deeply disturbed after they happened on a perverse find nestled under piles of paper in their daughter Madison’s bedroom. This single find unearthed four years of horror nobody knew was happening, except for one man.

Bradley McCollum, 48, was a friend and neighbor to the Reed family in Beaverton, Oregon. The two families enjoyed vacations together at McCollum’s beach home as well as regularly getting together for casual events. But all the good times ended in a nightmare after Madison’s parents discovered tiny cameras secretly hidden throughout her bedroom that were put there by McCollum, who had been monitoring the teen’s every move since she was just 13-years-old, KGW-TV reported.
According to the Oregonian, Madison’s mother saw McCollum leave her daughter’s bedroom one day after he had been visiting with the family, which seemed odd, so she decided to search the girl’s room. That search led to the parents finding a motion-activated camera a little smaller than a cell phone underneath some belongings.

The bedroom monitoring system discovery led to an investigation, which found that McCollum had also equipped his beach home with cameras, so he could watch Reed while on vacation as well. Unbeknownst to Madison and her parents, for four years there was practically nothing the teen did in private that McCollum didn’t watch. The footage at times even showed Madison naked, according to KGW.
“I don’t like to think about it, but I think about it all the time — like all day. Every day,” Madison said. “There’s no choice but to think about it.”

Madison’s parents are reeling from the disturbing discovery, trying to wrap their heads around the fact that a close friend had done this to their daughter. “We were looking for every excuse to think it was someone else until we found proof,” Clark Reed, Madison’s father, said. “Our world was upside down.”

McCollum pleaded guilty this week to charges of burglary and invasion of personal privacy and now awaits sentencing, which is supposed to take place in March. He is expected to receive two years behind bars as part of the plea deal.

Nothing has slowed down 64-year-old Peter Rolfe, a perpetual impregnator in England, who has fathered 26 children with 15 different women. Finances are of no concern for this Casanova, since the British government foots the bill for all the necessities in life, a fact that Rolfe is proud of. The unemployed father receives approximately $52,039 annually in benefits, but he feels the free money is not enough and has demanded the government give him a new home to house the children who live with him.

Rolfe currently has a place to call home, a three-bedroom townhouse that he calls a “prison” because it’s become cramped living there with five of his teenage children, the youngest of which, who is 17-years-old, has twin daughters of her own. Most of Rolfe’s other children have become estranged from him.
The deadbeat dad spent two years petitioning the British council for a new five-bedroom home, claiming that it’s the government’s “duty” to give him one, regardless of the fact that he couldn’t seem to stop procreating to slow the growth of his burgeoning brood.

His efforts paid off, and the government finally gave in and conceded to hand over a shiny new set of keys to Rolfe for his new home, paid for by those who work hard so he could just have one kid after another.

Throughout his lengthy fight to obtain the house, he whined that the council was wrongly making him out the be a “bum” and that he deserved the new home since he was just trying to provide for his children. Apparently, there is some disconnect with this degenerate dad when it comes to how a man should provide for his family.
“Why does it matter that I’m on benefits?” Rolfe said. “They are discriminating against me and the kids. The council has a duty of care, to make sure we have a decent place to live.”

Councilor Gordon Kendall said at the time that he felt Rolfe was “operating the system to his own advantage,” though Rolfe disagreed.

It’s unclear what could have possibly changed between the time Kendall said he felt that Rolfe was abusing the welfare system, to the day he got the house, but all evidence still shows he is an able-body person not working who has many mouths to feed. It sure seems like the same system abuse, but the government gave the guy a house for free anyway.
Maybe it was due to his long, hard efforts in getting it. “I spent two years pursuing the case with the ombudsman and the council have ignored his report,” he said. “What is the point of an ombudsman if all the council do is ignore the findings? They’re basically sticking two fingers up at the whole process.” Imagine what could have been accomplished had he worked so diligently at a job?

Rolfe said the $339,240 home he now has is much better than his old one, but he assured critics that he’s “not living in a mansion,” as if that makes anyone feel better about funding this freeloader.

Welfare abusers are like cats, if you feed them, they’ll keep coming back, not fend for themselves, and become difficult to get rid of. The benefits bus needs to stop and make everyone get off and get to work.

In the era of the Internet, criminals can easily lure potential victims to places where they become easy targets, but when an online bandit with a history of heists tried his shenanigans with someone who refused to be a victim, things didn’t turn out the way he had planned.

DeKalb Police said that 32-year-old Salvador Burgos had advertised to sell a bulldog for $2,000 on several dog breeding sites, reports the FOX8. But when the Atlanta-area man went to meet the prospective buyer, things took a turn for the worse.
Burgos said the man had pushed to meet late at night, which had him leery of the sale, but he agreed to it after the potential buyer offered an additional $500 for the odd meeting hours. Being suspicious, he had his friend Walter Gonzales, 40, accompany him to the meeting, and Burgos brought his .40 caliber Glock, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

When the two men pulled up to the home just after midnight on Thursday, they saw two men standing out front awaiting their arrival. When Gonzalez got out of the truck to show the men the dog, one of them pulled out a pistol and demanded Burgos get out of the vehicle as well.

Burgos, and his Glock, got out of the truck and he immediately opened fire on the man with the gun. The man’s accomplice fled, and Gonzalez and Burgos got back in their vehicle and drove down the road, where they stopped to phone police. They told police they fled the home because they feared the man’s accomplice may return.

“My wife heard the shots, and she woke me up,” said neighbor Jeffery Spence. “She looked out the window, and she said she saw a guy walking from the sidewalk to his vehicle, get back in it and drive away.”
When police went to the home, they discovered the man dead in the yard. Come to find out, the unidentified man has been linked to at least four other robberies in the area that stemmed from Craigslist.

“As we began to look into all of this morning, we have since realized that we believe there are four additional cases that are connected to this deceased suspect,” police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said. “All of them occurred at that location and all, we believe, involve that deceased suspect.”

Just 24 hours prior, the now-dead gunman robbed a man of his English bulldog at the same house under similar circumstances. Police believe they can link the dead man and his home to at least three other cases, one of which was an incident where a victim was attempting to sell an iPhone 6.

The pair of robberies come just days after Bud and Jane Runion were murdered after an arranged sale through Craigslist. Their bodies were found Monday with gunshot wounds from a small-caliber pistol to their heads. However, 28-year-old Jay Towns has been charged with the murder of the Runions.
As a result of the robberies and murder, Smyrna Police have opened their parking lot to online sellers to use as a safe meeting place through “Operation Safe Sale.” They’re inviting anyone, both buyers and sellers, to meet at headquarters to assure their safety through the transaction.

Police said it’s unlikely that Gonzalez or Burgos will be charged in the shooting incident.

Sadly, while this is a case where a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy literally dead in his tracks, the mainstream media likely won’t mention the benefits of having a gun for protection. Make sure you share this story with others to show them what the media won’t.
