Why does it always have to be this way with far left California Democrats?

The extreme far left mayor of West Hollywood, John Duran, the same mayor who recently honored porn star Stormy Daniels by presenting her the key to the city last week for her role in leading the fake “resistance” to President Donald Trump, seems to have a bit to hide.

Breitbart News is now reporting that the “good mayor” faced sexual harassment claims back in 2016 which led to the city having to pay out $500,000 on his behalf. Because this was before the so-called #metoo movement which was established by the far left with the idea to use it against President Donald Trump Duran escaped having to resign because of his shenanigans.

In a ceremony, Mayor Duran declared May 23 “Stormy Daniels Day” and gave her a symbolic key to the city. He then added, “Our values have been under threat by the Trump administration for the past year-and-a-half.” And praised Daniels and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, for fighting back. Fighting back from what?
As you can hear below at the 4:23 mark, not everyone at the ceremony was happy about this spectacle.

The woman who made those comments above was later asked about them. She added, “I’m definitely not a fan of ’45,’ however, what happened between [Stormy Daniels] and him happened about 12 years ago, so what does it matter to me now? And I don’t see her as a feminist leader.”

Now isn’t it just great that a man who caused the city to have to pay out $500k because of his own actions is now giving a porn star the key to the city and hailing her as a champion for women’s rights and a feminist leader?

Whatever happened to the feminism where women were told not to use their looks or body in order to get ahead in life? Is Stormy Daniels really the person liberal women of today want their daughters to look up to? Or is this just the case of a horny mayor who wanted to get close to a porn star for whatever reason he might have?

“But in February, West Hollywood agreed to pay $500,000 to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit against the city and Councilman John Duran. The suit was brought on behalf of Ian Owens, whom Duran hired as his deputy after meeting him on Grindr, the smartphone dating app for gay and bisexual men, and then having s*x with him.

Now, some residents and politicians in this mecca of gay culture and the home of the Sunset Strip counterculture are wondering if City Hall’s famously cheeky attitude about s*x needs to be checked a little.

Councilman John D’Amico, who like Duran is gay, said he often looked over during public meetings and saw Duran “trolling for men on Grindr.”

“This is not gay-life excuse time, or ‘This is how we do it because we’re gay,’” D’Amico said at a council meeting. “This is we-live-in-the-21st-century time, and treating people with respect and care and following not just the letter of the law but the spirit of the law is … part of who we are as a city.”

As part of the settlement, Duran and West Hollywood admitted no wrongdoing, but a private investigator’s report commissioned by the city dinged Duran for openly talking about his s*x life and making “inappropriate” comments that “were sexual in nature” in the workplace.

Duran publicly apologized last month for hiring “a friend,” but he has repeatedly denied sexual harassment. He conceded in an interview that had the lawsuit against him and the city gone to trial, West Hollywood’s “unique culture” might not have translated well with many members of a jury outside of the city.

“I’m not a stuffed-shirt politician,” Duran said. “Yes, my humor is bawdy and funny and outrageous, but, you know what, so is everything else in this town. I could not get elected in Downey.”

Indeed, West Hollywood council members occasionally engage in the kind of risque talk that in more strait-laced towns could possibly cost politicians voters or get them recalled. Here, residents sometimes playfully join in the banter during council meetings, whether it’s a play-by-play about a visit to the gynecologist or riffs on porn collections.

But in an email, Owens said Duran crossed the line.

“I appreciate that West Hollywood is an open place that does not discourage free expression of sexuality and have nothing against that,” Owens said. “However, conflating free expression on the one hand with bullying and demeaning a human being on the other is dangerous.

The controversy surrounding former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation James Commey and President Obama and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch seems to never d*e down. Right when it starts to quiet it comes right back again. Mainly because there is always some type of new development that comes about because of the investigation. Now former Director Comey dropped another bombshell that people are not going to like.

The Daily Wire reported,

“During his much-anticipated testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, former FBI Director James Comey made a claim that highlights the hypocrisy of the Democrats’ accusations against President Trump. Barack Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch, said Comey, attempted to pressure him to portray the investigation into Hillary Clinton as simply a “matter” rather than a true “investigation” — as it of course was.

“At one point, the Attorney General [Lynch] told me not to call it an investigation but instead to call it a ‘matter,’ which confused and concerned me,” the former FBI director told the committee Thursday. “But that was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude I have to step away from the [Justice] Department if we’re to close this case credibly.” Watch below:
This is not the first time Comey has mentioned that Lynch tried to get him to downplay the Clinton investigation, but in the midst of the Democrat/media frenzy over Trump’s alleged pressuring of Comey to drop the Flynn “matter,” the former FBI director’s statement made under oath exposes the egregious double standard in a glaring way.

“This comes on the heels of Comey saying he largely scrapped the Clinton investigation because of Lynch’s private meeting with Bill Clinton,” notes Erick Erickson. “That sounds way more like obstruction of justice than Trump just asking Comey if he might wind down the Flynn investigation when Comey did not do so afterwards.”

In yet another example of the Democrats’ hypocritical double standard, as former Bush White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer notes, while the Democrats and their colleagues in the media cry “obstruction” over Trump’s request for “loyalty” from Comey, they didn’t seem to have any problem with Obama AG Eric Holder calling himself Obama’s “wingman”:

Lynch was not the only unexpected casualty of the day. Also caught in the line of fire was the establishment media for its increasing reliance on unnamed sources, whom Comey explained often simply do not fully understand the information they are illegally leaking. In particular, the New York Times came out of the hearing with its credibility diminished after Comey blew up its Feb. 14 “bombshell” on the potential collusion of Trump’s associates with Russian agents, a report he agreed was “almost entirely wrong.””
Comey made it clear when he was giving his sworn testimony that he felt that many news stories and classified information that was released to news outlets were false. Furthermore, that accounts of the Russia investigation in regards to collusion were overexaggerated and falsified in order to sell news stories. Confirmation that even Comey knew that there is misleading information out there in the media on both sides of the aisle.

Most recently Comey came out and rejected and spoke against Congressional and Senate Republicans for their comments on the investigation and concerns over the legitimacy of leaks and information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. CNBC reported,

“Former FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday weighed in for the first time on reports of an informant investigating President Donald Trump’s campaign, saying that lies and attacks on the law enforcement agency “will do lasting damage to our country.” In a pair of tweets, Comey defended the use of confidential human sources — “the actual term,” he said — as being “essential to protecting the country.”

Comey then went on the offensive, suggesting that Republicans in positions of political leadership were attacking the FBI dishonestly. “How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?” he asked.

Comey, who was fired by Trump in May 2017, did not mention the president by name in the Wednesday morning tweets. But Comey’s statements came shortly after Trump, also on Twitter, decried “SPYGATE” as potentially being “one of the biggest political scandals in history!”

To date since taking office, President Trump has rescued 17 Americans held hostage in foreign countries outside the US. He continued his winning streak yesterday by bringing home Mormon missionary Joshua Holt, 26, after spending two years in a Venezuelan prison. Recently, Holt posted on Facebook that he feared for his life inside Helicoide prison. He pleaded for someone to help get him out of there and that is exactly what President Trump did.

“You were a tough one, I have to tell you,” Trump told Holt. “You’ve gone through a lot, more than most people could endure,” Trump said. And he’s so right on that point. Listen to this plea from Holt shortly before he was released. “The people have taken the entire prison. They’re outside. They’re trying to break in. They’re saying they want to k**l me, they’re saying they want me as their guarantee. I need help,” Holt said in one terrifying video.

“I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude,” Holt emotionally stated while thanking the President for helping him. How he survived being in prison in Venezuela for two years, we’ll never know. They tend to starve their prisoners to d***h because it’s too expensive to feed them. That’s if the gangs in the prison don’t get your first, not to mention the specter of being tortured to d***h.
Holt’s rescue, which occurred overnight as he was whisked dramatically by plane back to the states with his wife and daughter, is a far cry from what happened under Obama’s presidency. Obama paid $400 million in ransom to the Iranians for four Americans. Trump paid nothing for Holt’s release and left harsh sanctions in place until Maduro restores freedom in his socialist country. At the time, Obama lied and said it was not a ransom payment. Trump hasn’t lied and has done far more for hostages than Obama ever thought of doing. Holt would have died in that prison if Clinton had been elected, bet on it. Trump’s actions are far, far different than Obama’s and Clinton’s and he has saved many lives.

Holt said tongue-in-cheek that his trip to Venezuela was “not really the great vacation that I was looking for” and thanked his wife for helping him get through the time he spent in prison. He traveled to Venezuela in 2016 to marry his wife Thamy, who he had met online while looking for Spanish-speaking Mormons to help him learn the language. He was immediately taken into custody by the Venezuelan government and imprisoned for two years without a trial. Holt was arrested on charges of espionage on June 30, 2016, and was then accused of stockpiling an assault rifle and grenades, suggesting his case was linked to other unspecified US attempts to undermine Maduro’s rule amid deep economic and political turbulence. His wife was also jailed for being Holt’s accomplice.

Holt’s tearful parents thanked the President and all the members of Congress who advocated on their behalf: Senator Bob Corker R-TN and Utah members of Congress, Senator Mike Lee, Senator Orrin Hatch and Rep. Mia Love. After shaking Hatch’s hand, Holt bear-hugged his mother, who was crying. He father also gave his son a huge hug and while grinning, quipped. “We need somebody to mow the lawn,” he said. “It’s about time.”
“I don’t think that there is a person in the United States right now that doesn’t realize that you have their back,” Mia Love told President Trump. “I so wanted to personally thank you for keeping a promise that you made to me. Every time I would go and see you, I would bring up Joshua’s name, and you would say, ‘I’m going to do everything I can.’ And obviously, I believe it. Utah wants to thank you, Mr. President, for making this happen. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.” Mia Love then informed Holt, “Your mom never let us forget about you, she is one of the strongest women I know.”

Senator Orrin Hatch was instrumental in Holt’s release and thankful to President Trump. “[T]his wouldn’t have happened without you,” he said. “We just want you to know that … And to know that we can rely on you and count on you, and talk to you, and meet with you — these are all very important things. We love you, boy, and we just want to support you every way we can.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi faced questions last week about where she stands, or kneels, regarding the NFL’s recently announced policy on national anthem protests.

Though she claimed to side with the players, her answers didn’t sit well with many political observers, Fox News reports.

“When the anthem comes on, you stand, If you do not want to stand, stay in the locker room. If you come out on to the field, you kneel or you in other ways protest, you will be fined.” ~ CNN’s Chris Cuomo

“Are you OK with this rule change by the NFL?,” Cuomo asked.

“I would be more OK with it if they consulted with the players. I don’t think the players agreed to this. This is the owners. And by the way, it’s the owners who would be fined,” California (D) Nancy Pelosi
Pelosi is just another democrat that refuses to see reality and what the real issue is with the NFL and the players that blatantly disrespect our nation and spit on our military and LEO.

This is nothing more than the NFL Office attempting, in appearance, to show the fans that they are now patriotic and embrace our national anthem, military, law enforcement and our President. When in fact, by their own actions, they do not and never will. RWT News on latest NFL lie in attempt to get “fans” back in the seats and take their money.

This is not a win for America and the blatant attempt to push the issue onto the owners so that that the NFL now looks like the “Good Guys” and individual teams will look the “Bad Guys” is pathetic and cowardly.

Nothing has changed, the hate and division is still rampant, the NFL endorses the spoiled brats greedily taking our money and spitting on us at the same time. Why the hell would anyone ever support the NFL ever again? Do people truly have such little grit these days that they selfishly endorse such blatant propaganda?
