On the 150th anniversary of the Memorial Day holiday, a video has surfaced which is sure to make your blood boil if you have any respect at all for the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The sickening footage shows migrants treating a World War II memorial like a swimming pool. Ultimately, they were confronted by an angry patriot who was disgusted that they would degrade the sacrifice of our veterans in such a way.

Today marks the 150th anniversary of the Memorial Day holiday. Americans typically spend their Memorial Day, which is considered the unofficial kickoff of the summer season, BBQing poolside with friends and family. But, sadly, many do not know or understand the deep and meaningful history behind the holiday.

We began celebrating Memorial Day shortly after the close of the Civil War:
Ending in 1865, the Civil War claimed more American lives than any other war in our history. With so many fallen soldiers, America’s first national cemeteries were established to lay these men to rest. In cities and towns across the country, loved ones of the fallen began paying tribute at their graves each spring, laying flowers, saying prayers and honoring their sacrifice.

By the spring of 1868, General John A. Logan, the leader of an organization for Northern Civil War veterans, called for a nationwide day of remembrance, stating:

“The 30th of May 1868, [is for] decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land.”

The holiday was originally deemed “Decoration Day,” and the first official commemoration of the day was hosted at Arlington National Cemetery. For decades, communities gathered to remember those who had fallen in the Civil War. [Source: The Hill]

Thus, it became apparent that Memorial Day should honor all who had passed away in defense of our flag, from the American Revolution onward. Several decades later, in 1968, the federal government established Memorial Day as a federal holiday to be celebrated on the last Monday of May, a move that established the three-day weekend that we now enjoy.

While most Americans do not know the history of Memorial Day, still others do not even know the simple difference between this holiday and Veteran’s Day:
Memorial Day: Celebrated the last Monday in May, Memorial Day is the holiday set aside to pay tribute to those who died serving in the military.

Veterans Day: This federal holiday falls on November 11 and is designated as a day to honor all who have served in the military. According to Military.com, Veterans Day began as Armistice Day to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918.

Perhaps it is this disregard for the history and significance of Memorial Day which is partly to blame for a sickening video which surfaced just in time to mark the 150th anniversary of this holiday.

Vincente James was in Washington, D.C., when he noticed hoards of migrants swimming in a WWII memorial fountain as if it were a public pool. Stunned, he pulled out his cell phone to film their despicable act and the confrontation which ensued. James then tweeted the footage, which has since enraged thousands of social media users.

“Third world immigrants swim and wash their sweaty feet in a WWII memorial,” James tweeted. “Many say that ‘anyone’ should be allowed to come here. But ask yourself this… Would someone of Euro descent do this? The answer is no. Why is the term ‘diversity’ only used for white countries?” he pondered.
The appalling nature of this video is only made worse by the fact that we are lectured nonstop about being respectful of immigrants. Yet, they come to America and disrespect the very people who gave their lives to make this the greatest country in the world. We need to make this video go viral. Apparently, there are a lot of people who think it is perfectly okay to treat a memorial fountain like a bathtub, even though the signage posted at the landmark clearly states otherwise.

This year’s Memorial Day celebration is especially significant, as it marks so many important dates in America’s military history. In addition to this year being the 150th anniversary of Memorial Day, it also marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, and the 75th and 50th anniversaries of World War II and the Vietnam War, respectively. Please do not mark this important date by desecrating a war memorial.

Baghdad, – Iraqi security announced on Monday the capture of 22 wanted criminals and seizure of a boatload of explosive charges during special security operations in Mosul city, Iraqi News reports.

“Troops of Nineveh Operations Command arrested 22 criminals who are wanted by Iraqi judiciary during inspection operations in Badush village, northwest of Mosul,” Baghdad Today quoted spokesman for the Iraqi Security Media Council Brig. Gen. Yehia Rassol as saying.
“The troops also detonated 10 explosive charges that were left by Islamic State and destroyed several IS tunnels in Badush as well,” the spokesman added.

Also, several bodies of Islamic State members were found as security troops confiscated tunnels that were used by the militant group, south of Mosul, the Security Media Center said.

In a statement, Brig. Gen. Yahia Rasool, the spokesperson for the center, said “the military intelligence found many tunnels that were used by ISIS in a village in Hammam al-Alil region in Mosul. The tunnels were used as shelters to treat the wounded.”

The troops, according to Rasool, “found inside the tunnels several bodies of IS members, who were injured without being treated during the liberation battles.”

Also, officials at Iraq’s Nineveh province have warned that senior Islamic State leaders were still in hiding at tunnels in the city of Mosul, the birthplace of the extremist group’s self-proclaimed “caliphate.”

Iraqi News reported that Hossam al-Abbar, a member of the Nineveh Province Council, was quoted saying in press statements that senior ISIS members were still hiding in underground tunnels in the western regions of Mosul, adding that those regions are of tough geography that makes it difficult to detect those tunnels.

The banks of Tigris River have become a hideout for the militants who entrench in tunnels well-hidden in the middle of the jungles, according to Abbar.

Nineveh officials have recently warned that several ISIS members were moving in the province with fake IDs.

AFF reported that one policeman was killed and three others were wounded as a bomb attack targeted their police vehicle in western Anbar, a security source was quoted as saying.

Speaking to Basnews website on Monday, the source said, “An explosive charge targeted a police vehicle carrying policemen between Rawa and Anah districts, west of Anbar.”

“The blast left a policeman killed and three others wounded,” the source said, adding that the troops were on a mission to secure agricultural lands and villages between Rawa and Anah districts, Iraqi News reported.

He pointed out the bomb is believed to be left over by ISIS militants.

“Security forces immediately rushed to the blast site and started combing the area in search for other bombs on site,” he noted.

At least twelve ISIS militants died Thursday when an underground tunnel they were using collapsed in the town of Tal Afar, west of Nineveh, a paramilitary leader said.

The entire left-wing narrative against our President is that he’s a cruel, uncaring man. But every day we see more evidence that the left is full of crap. Already in his first term, President Trump has proven countless times he puts Americans first.

After Hurricane Harvey slammed Texas, the President was on hand. He greeted people and offered his encouragement and support. Numerous people, who had previously believed the media, changed their minds about the President. He won them over, thanks to his kindness.

More recently, he was on hand as early in the morning a plane landed in D.C. with released hostages. President Trump and the First Lady were one of the first people to greet men who had been imprisoned in North Korea.

This past week, President Trump secured the release of a man trapped in Venezuela. This America was unable to leave as the communist country plunged into chaos. But, lo and behold, Trump was able to bring him home. But before he sent him back to Utah, he welcomed the man and his family to the White House.

From The Right Scoop:
Josh Holt was begging for his life as Venezuela was collapsing around him, and his family thought he was going to be murdered there. Days later, he’s happily meeting President Trump at the White House.

Here’s a video from days ago when Holt posted on Facebook begging for help:
Here he is today:

His family is calling it a miracle, and thanking Trump, and President Maduro, who released him to the United States after two years.

During the video, Trump offers kindness and appreciation for Holt’s family. He sympathized with them, knowing the pain and stress they felt knowing Holt was in danger. This is the real Donald Trump. Not the monster the liberal media continues to squawk about. But the man who put aside his own career to lead our country.

Every day, President Trump shows his true character. He makes good on his promises. He works to dismantle corruption in our government. And he goes out of his way to treat American citizens, our Armed Forces, and our police, the respect they deserve.

Whenever President Trump signs an executive order the media collectively go crazy. Whether the news is good or whether it is bad matters not at all. This time instead of the mainstream liberal media going nuts it is the unions who are running for their lives. Especially now that the executive order messes with their ability to negotiate with agencies and represent specific workers. Something that they have long taken advantage. However, those days are over and done with.

Red Nation now reported the following,

“President Trump issued a series of executive orders that has government bureaucrats panicking. The orders potentially remove federal employee unions’ ability to negotiate with agency leaders and represent workers. They additionally reduce the time it takes for an agency to fire people for poor performance or misconduct.

Of course, federal workers are upset over this… but this is a step towards accountability, which is always a good thing. For too long, government workers have been exempt from repercussions for not working or following the rules. They have felt entitled and not accountable to the people paying their salaries: the taxpayers! President Trump promised on the campaign trail to “drain the swamp” and this is a step in the right direction.
More specifically, the three executive orders make it easier to fire poor performers and it orders harsher treatment of union representatives who exhibit misconduct. The goal of the orders is to eradicate (or at least significantly reduce) corruption in the federal government. It also reduces the power of unions that often operate like mafias.

The president’s director of his Domestic Policy Council said in a statement, “Today, the President is fulfilling his promise to promote a more efficient government by reforming civil service rules. Every year, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey shows that less than one-third of federal employees believe poor performers are adequately addressed by their agency. These executive orders make it easier to remove poor performing employees, and ensure that taxpayer dollars are more efficiently used.”

Currently, it takes the federal government around 120 days to fire a worker who is flagrantly exhibiting misconduct–or simply not working at all. Under the new rules, such a worker can be fired in 30 days. The White House said in a statement, “A GAO report shows that it takes six months to a year to remove someone from the government, and can often take another nine months on appeal,” an official said. “[This] also encourages agencies to fire someone for misconduct when they’ve been engaged in behavior that warrants it, instead of just suspending them.” The new order also prioritizes results over seniority. Talk about cleaning house! It’s time to get rid of the smug, overpaid.” Obama-holdovers who aren’t doing their jobs.”

While the Washington Post reported the following,
“The changes have been championed by Republicans who have sought to rein in the size and reach of the federal bureaucracy of 2 million, which under Trump has been gradually shrinking through hiring freezes and unfilled vacancies. The trio of executive orders — which can be undone by the next president — could have a much more dramatic impact. They immediately drew polarized reactions, with public employee unions casting them as an attack on civil servants and conservatives praising the overhaul as a win for accountability.

The orders limit federal employees to spending no more than a quarter of their workday on “official time” — paid time to do union business, a benefit Congress approved for federal unions four decades ago. Administration officials said the change could save $100 million a year.

They require agencies to negotiate union contracts in less than a year. And they direct managers to move more aggressively to fire poor performers or employees involved in misconduct, limiting to one month a last-chance grace period for improvement that now can last up to 120 days. Agencies must also disclose details about an employee’s record to other federal offices considering hiring someone who has been fired or disciplined.

This truly has to be one of the most despicable acts of disrespect our nation has seen on Memorial Day weekend in a long time, if ever.

Overnight on Friday 209 gravestones were spray-painted with swastikas at a cemetery in Illinois.
This heinous act occurred on the eve of Memorial Day weekend at a Glen Carbon, Illinois cemetery which houses the graves of more than 1,300 veterans. The grounds superintendent of Sunset Hill Cemetery, Mark Johnson, in an interview said he hasn’t seen anything of this magnitude in the 30 years that he has been working there.

The local CBS affiliate reported that cemetery officials were working to clean up the vandalism before the Memorial Day event and planned to power wash the tombstones in order to clean them before people started to arrive for the yearly event.

Later it was confirmed that police were also called out to a nearby neighborhood after residents found the same spray paint on a few homes and at on at least one vehicle.

This should boil the blood of every American. There is no need for this kind of garbage in a nation like ours. Maybe if narcissistic celebrities and many on the far left wouldn’t spew their hate against the military and our current Commander In Chief then things like this wouldn’t happen. It’s obvious by the type of crime and the fact that they also hit nearby homes and a car that these delinquents are probably younger than the age of 25. Probably of an age that’s still impressionable and they heard someone like Hillary Clinton on TV spewing garbage about our nation being in crisis even though we are closer to peace and have more property than we have seen in decades, so they lashed out at those who can’t defend themselves.

All of a sudden Singapore’s methods of dealing with vandals doesn’t seem all that barbaric, does it?

SINGAPORE (Reuters)

“A Singapore court sentenced two Germans to nine months in prison and three strokes of the cane on Thursday after they pleaded guilty to breaking into a depot and spray-painting graffiti on a commuter train carriage.

Andreas Von Knorre, 22, and Elton Hinz, 21, both expressed remorse while being sentenced in the state courts of the island republic.

“This is the darkest episode of my entire life,” said Von Knorre. “I want to apologize to the state of Singapore for the stupid act…I’ve learned my lesson and will never do it again.”

Hinz added: “I promise I will never do it again. I want to apologize to you, and my family for the shame and situation I’ve put them into.”

Both were dressed in prison uniform – a white T-shirt and brown trousers with the word “Prisoner” down the sides and on the back. They spoke to the court in English.

Singapore sentences hundreds of prisoners to caning each year as part of a system that has been criticized by rights groups. Vandalism and over-staying by foreigners are offences that can be punished by caning along with other crimes like kidnapping, robbery, drug abuse and sexual abuse.

According to the U.S. State Department, 2,203 caning sentences were carried out in 2012, including 1,070 foreigners caned for committing immigration offences.

“The Singapore judicial system’s shameful recourse to using torture – in the form of caning – to punish crimes that should be misdemeanors is indicative of a blatant disregard for international human rights standards,” said Phil Robertson, deputy director of the Asia division of Human Rights Watch.

“One of the defendants said that sentencing day was the darkest day of his life, but in reality every day that Singapore keeps caning on its books is a dark day for the country’s international reputation,” he said in an e-mail.

In Berlin, a foreign ministry official said the government respected the sovereignty of Singapore.

“But it speaks out against corporal punishment as a form of sentence worldwide – and that also means in Singapore,” the official added. “The German government has made that clear.”

The two Germans were accused of vandalism and trespass after they broke into one of Singapore’s train depots last November to spray-paint a carriage.

They then fled Singapore, only to be tracked down in neighboring Malaysia in an international manhunt and were brought back to the city-state to face trial.

Their lawyers said they would meet the prisoners on Monday to decide on whether to appeal.
