So much for all the conspiracies on Melania Trump. The First Lady is evidently up and around, alive and more beautiful than ever. And no, she didn’t run off to New York. First lady Melania Trump co-hosted a reception for Gold Star families with President Trump at the White House Monday evening, marking her first public appearance since mid-May. The event, a private East Room reception for more than 40 Gold Star military families, was not an unusual one for Melania to attend. Incidentally, one reporter did see her up and about last week as well. It takes time to recover from surgery.
In a statement, Melania said it was a privilege to welcome the military families to the White House and she thanked them and military members more broadly for their service. “To all those who have lost loved ones in service to our country, our nation grieves with you,” her statement read. “It is a solemn reminder that we, the American people, are able to live as freely as we do because of the selfless sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. We remain indebted to each of them and we honor them today, together, with their families.”
A person at the event told CNN’s Jeff Zeleny that the President made a lighthearted joke about the First Lady’s extended absence from public view, saying the media was asking: “Where’s Melania?” He went on for a minute or so, saying the media was speculating where she has been. “Did she leave him?” the President asked at one point, before pointing out that Melania Trump was, in fact, sitting in the front row.
Melania was last seen in public on May 10th with President Trump as they welcomed back three American hostages released from captivity in North Korea. On May 14th, she underwent minor kidney surgery to remove a fibrous growth at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She was released from the hospital on May 19th and has been recovering at home in the White House since then. The media went into overdrive with rumors and conspiracy theories, just salivating at the thought that either Melania was d**d or had finally left her husband. It was disgusting. President Trump did not even go to Israel to open the historic American embassy in Jerusalem so he could be with his wife during all this. But do you see that in the media? Nope.
The media walk of shame over all this includes Politico, The Washington Post, and CNN, who have all speculated endlessly about the First Lady’s absence from the public eye. One Politico story actually had the headline, “White House Silence on Melania Stokes Conspiracy Theories.” Their rumors spanned from d***h to plastic surgery, to moving back to New York, to an affair to cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller. She’s holed up with the Obamas or working on a tell-all book about her husband has also been making the rounds. It was the fodder of gossip mongers. Instead of focusing on historic events that the President is immersed in such as North Korea, they wagged their tongues over the First Lady.
Melania was not brooking those rumors and shot them down last week, “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @White House w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!” Of course, that wasn’t good enough for the left. CNN’s Brian Stelter lied to his Reliable Sources audience over the weekend by repeating the false claim that First Lady Melania Trump has disappeared — that she has been “invisible.”

“Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s spokeswoman, addressed Mrs. Trump’s absence last week, saying she is “doing great.”
““Sadly, we deal with conspiracy theories all the time, so this is nothing new, just more silly nonsense,” Grisham said. “She is doing great. I wouldn’t characterize it as a long absence. She was hospitalized for almost a week and is now home and recovering.”
“Grisham said the first lady “has been involved in several internal meetings with staff all last week, and that continues this week. We’ve been going over initiatives and other long-term planning for events such as the Congressional Picnic and 4th of July.”

The Eagles had this coming, they really did. When you go out of your way to embarrass the President of the United States, you embarrass your country as well and you make an absolute fool of yourself. I don’t blame President Trump for doing this in the least. Trump officially disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House after their Super Bowl win because of their position on the National Anthem controversy. “The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow,” the statement from the President read.
“They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem,” he added, “hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.” That makes the team look like unpatriotic jerks, to say the least. “The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better,” Trump explained. “These fans are still invited to the White House to be a part of a different type of ceremony – one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America,” the statement concluded. Trump tweeted, “Honoring America! NFL, no escaping to Locker Rooms!”
Turn about is fair play here and the Eagles richly earned being embarrassed by President Trump. And he did so brutally. You do not want to tick this man off. He’s not some weak-kneed fanboy that caves over threats from others. Speaking of which, this is where the mayor of Philadelphia comes into the picture.
“The Eagles call the birthplace of our democracy home, so it’s no surprise that this team embodies everything that makes our country and our city great,” said Mayor Jim Kenney (D) in the statement. “Their athletic accomplishments on the field led to an historic victory this year,” he continued. “Fans all across the country rallied behind them because we like to root for the underdog and we feel joy when we see the underdogs finally win. I’m equally proud of the Eagles’ activism off the field.”
The Dem continued, “These are players who stand up for the causes they believe in and who contribute in meaningful ways to their community,” Kenney added. “They represent the diversity of our nation – a nation in which we are free to express our opinions. Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our President is not a true patriot,” Kenney charged, “but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend. City Hall is always open for a celebration,” he concluded. Good… let them go there. Maybe they can all get on their knees while they celebrate. Seems only fitting, don’t you think?
It’s true that none of the Eagles’ players knelt last season during the playing of the National Anthem. But it doesn’t excuse insulting the White House and the President over a populist stance that should be done outside of the grid iron and personally, not as a team. Less than ten of their team members were planning on going to the White House for this event and that’s a slap in the face to the President of the United States. It’s just unconscionable. Being invited to the White House is an honor. This isn’t pettiness on Trump’s part. It’s principled and I applaud him for telling them to take a hike. And this isn’t the first time Trump has done it either. It’s nice to have a President who actually has a spine for a change.
The President has long advocated that all NFL players should stand during the National Anthem after widespread kneeling protests, first initiated by quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick and other players who knelt maintained they were protesting police brutality in the U.S. against African Americans. That’s not what this was ever really about. These are racist radicals who want special treatment and who hate the law and authority. The mayor of Philly and the Eagles wanted to embarrass the President with a small gathering. All they did is beclown themselves and act like spoiled, entitled millionaire crybabies who aren’t getting their way. Too freaking bad.

New York is one of many liberal states that protect illegal aliens. They say they are doing it to protect “innocent” residents. But a new report reveals what the leadership of New York has been really up to. They are endangering the lives of everyone in the Greater New York area.
It’s hard to believe that anyone in the United States would support sanctuary cities. This policy is openly defiant toward federal law. Liberal cities, states, and regions refuse to comply with federal authorities. In fact, they prohibit their police from communicating with ICE, should they arrest an illegal alien. Democrats claim that these laws are to protect illegal aliens who would otherwise be afraid to cooperate with local authorities.
Bull crap. Sanctuary laws are designed to protect criminals — often murderers, drug dealers, and rapists — from being deported. Democrats are shielding violent people from justice. How is that fair or kind to the millions of law-abiding Americans in those regions?
New York is one of the worst sanctuaries in the country. The governor, Andrew Cuomo, and sitting New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, frequently attack President Donald Trump’s immigration plan. Their constant attacks on our Commander in Chief prove their sanctuary policy has nothing to do with helping innocent lives. It’s always been about deliberately undermining the White House.
That’s the liberal motto in 2018: “If Trump’s for it, we’re against it!” Good game plan.
Now, a new report reveals that New York’s sanctuary has never been about keeping people safe. In fact, New York released over 4000 dangerous illegals back into the community over a period of months.
Over just three months this year, New York City, which acts as a “sanctuary city” for criminal illegal immigrants, released 440 “dangerous” offenders sought for deportation, and 10 percent went on to commit more crime, according to a new review.
The federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, in focusing on New York City, notorious for ignoring ICE demands for jailed illegals since 2014, said that from January to mid-April the city shrugged off 440 requests.
And, said ICE, “nearly 40 individuals who were released from custody, reoffended and were again arrested for crimes by local law enforcement officers.” [Source: Washington Examiner]
How can Democrats defend that kind of track record? For years, they’ve opposed Trump’s immigration plan, claiming it will hurt “honest” or “innocent” illegal aliens. But the people being arrested and released aren’t family-friendly folks. They are drug dealers and violent offenders. They are the very people that endanger families of all backgrounds.
But since when has the left ever cared about people? They are like babies, who do the opposite of what the president does. It’s never been about helping immigrant families for liberals. They only want to oppose Trump and his supporters, even if that means endangering their own residents.
On top of that, New York’s toxic policy puts federal law enforcement at risk.
ICE officials said that making arrests outside of jails greatly increases the danger chances to agents.
“The politics and rhetoric in this city are putting its own communities at an unnecessary risk,” said Scott Mechowski, an ICE official in New York.
“ICE has no choice but to continue to conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites, wasting valuable resources on criminal aliens who could be securely turned over to ICE custody at jails and prisons. This should come as no surprise. Democrats hate law and order. They especially despise police officers, the very people who risk their lives to keep New York safe from criminals. I can’t imagine they lose sleep over the fathers and mothers in ICE who are forced to take greater risks, thanks to their sanctuary policies.
Rudy Giuliani Has Bad News For James Comey, Puts ‘Final Nail In His Coffin’

It is safe to assume that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani does not have any affection for former FBI Director James Comey. But Comey’s week just went from bad to worse if Giuliani’s blockbuster statement about him is true.
The man known by many as “America’s Mayor” had a fiery interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on the debut episode of his new primetime show aptly named “Cuomo Primetime.” It began with, of all things, Cuomo lecturing Giuliani about what to say to God while in the Holy Land as Giuliani appeared via satellite from Israel.
Cuomo asked Giuliani about the story of how Donald Trump Jr.’s letter about his meeting at Trump Tower with Russians who promised dirt on 2016 Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton came to be, and why the story changed. The president’s attorney, Jay Sekulow, and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders both said that the president had nothing to do with the letter, but in a letter written to special counsel Robert Mueller, Sekulow said that the letter was dictated by the president.
“You think maybe someone could have made a mistake?” Giuliani asked, posing what would appear to be a plausible explanation as dictating a letter is not a crime and it would make no sense to knowingly lie about it. “You think Jay Sekulow lied?” Giuliani said. “Maybe he just got it wrong. … This is a complex investigation.”
Giuliani told Cuomo that it is simple for people to forget some facts and that is why it is not wise for the president to be interviewed by Mueller as it could become a perjury trap, much like what the FBI did to Martha Stewart. “You can make a mistake, if you want to you can say it’s a lie, it was a mistake,” Giuliani said. “I swear to God it was a mistake.”
“Be careful about swearing to God when you’re in Jerusalem,” Cuomo warned. “It may carry a little more weight right now with the answers that you give.” Giuliani dismissed the statement with a laugh and said that he heard a storm cloud coming.
The former New York mayor also addressed the concerns over what the president is able to do via his pardon power. “I can tell you as a lawyer, the pardon power is complete and there is no limitation on it,” he said, but added, “He’s not going to pardon himself.”
The comments came after President Trump drove liberals mad on Monday when he tweeted that he did, in fact, have the power to pardon himself for any crimes. But, he added that there would be no need to pardon himself as he did not commit any crimes to pardon himself for.
“As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong? In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!” he said.
Giuliani continued to express his belief that the FBI had embedded a spy in President Trump’s campaign, an assertion that Cuomo did not like. Cuomo noted that Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said that the FBI did its job properly and did not embed a spy in the president’s campaign.
“Gowdy and Nunes are not somebody’s lawyer. I don’t know the last time they practiced criminal law. I like both of them, but they don’t have the responsibility of representing somebody who is being treated in a way you wouldn’t treat a common criminal,” he said. “I’ve got more experience than the two of them by ten.”
Giuliani also continued his attacks on former FBI Director Comey but explained that his remark that the president could have shot Comey in the Oval Office and not been indicted was a “hypothetical.” He said, “Almost every head of state has the same kind of immunity.”
According to Giuliani, that is the least of what Comey should be concerned about these days. Giuliani said that an upcoming report from the inspector general of the Justice Department would prove that Comey acted improperly while he was in office and that he would be faced with consequences. “The last nail in the coffin is going to be that report,” he said.
