Former Congressman Tom Tancredo served five terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (1999-2009) and was a candidate for governor in Colorado after being elected and serving two terms in the Colorado House of Representatives in 1976. He also worked in the U.S. Department of Education under President Ronald Reagan.
