Watch Chloë Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert Spar in ‘Greta’ | Anatomy of a Scene

There’s a lesson to be learned in this scene from the Neil Jordan thriller “Greta.” Do not serve Isabelle Huppert bad wine. In the sequence, Frances (Chloë Grace Moretz) waits tables at a New York restaurant. She is surprised to find that Greta (Huppert), the woman who has been stalking and harassing her, has booked a table. One line of dialogue that Greta delivers gives a sense of her manipulative bitterness: When she tries a glass of Chablis, she says to Frances that it’s “a bit like you. Promises a lot, then disappoints.”

Maybe a pinot noir next time?

In his narration, Jordan discusses how the restaurant was both designed and filmed in a way to maximize Frances’s humiliation, how Greta’s fashionable wardrobe factors in (she’s wearing Chanel) and how, even though it’s Greta who’s the threat, the crew worked to make sure Huppert felt physically comfortable in playing these aggressive moments.

The Cost of Illegal Immigration

As Democrats in Congress refuse to secure the US southern border, the cost of illegal immigration continues to mount. The United States spends over $268 billion dollars a year supporting illegal aliens. That money covers expenses such as healthcare, education, childcare, the justice system, and welfare—forcing US taxpayers to shell out $734 million dollars every single day. President Trump is requesting $5.7 billion dollars to build a border wall. Meanwhile, since January first, we’ve already spent far more than that paying for aliens who are here illegally. These numbers are based off estimates from the Center for Immigration Studies, Federation for Immigration Reform, Institute for Defense Analyses, and the Department for Homeland Security. These are the most exact estimates from official Border Patrol reports, as well as crime stats and census reports. One America News will continue share these numbers daily to show just how much illegal immigration costs American citizens every second.
