A word about the Toddlin’ Town. On another dear subject that proves fascinating, tomorrow is the Chicago mayoral runoff where Lori Lightfoot leads by 35+ points over Toni Preckwinkle. (Love the names. Downton Abbey, anyone?) Why should this be this interesting to you? Because the latter is a member of the Obama Machine. The same group trying to secure finalization of his library and self-laudatory museum. Lightfoot, however, sides with Emanuel, Johnson and the CPD and forges the vanguard against the Chitown-Barry machine. Or what’s left of it. Just look at this cast of characters. Obama (Barry et ux.), Oprah, Jesse Jackson. Meanwhile Jussie’s catching the front end of this crossfire after contriving the most mind-boggling story of complete and utter insanity in a case that was nolle prosequi’d sua sponte, sealed (accidentally) while the records were inadvertently released by CPD, listing the most fascinating labyrinth of referrals and investigations. Translation: The case stinks to high heaven. And what folks think is anything other than a two-bit and wildly pathetic attempt on the part of a two-bit and wildly pathetic actor who thought he was underpaid and about to be sh*tcanned so he came up with a monumentally insane version of attack, symbolic lunching and being doused with bleach . . . well, you know the drill.
