In a heated response, former President Donald Trump criticized actor Robert De Niro following De Niro’s appearance outside a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday. Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to express his disdain, describing De Niro as “pathetic and sad,” and accusing the actor of being “small, both mentally and physically.”

Trump’s remarks were triggered by De Niro’s participation in a press conference staged by the Biden campaign outside the courthouse where closing arguments were set to begin in Trump’s business records trial. During the event, De Niro, a known critic of Trump, warned that Trump would never leave office if re-elected, claiming he would become a “dictator for life.”

In his Truth Social post, Trump said, “I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was.” He continued, “Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, commonly known in the medical community as TDS, was met, outside the Courthouse, with a force far greater than the Radical Left – MAGA.”

Trump further criticized De Niro’s career, claiming that the actor’s “movies, artistry, and brand have gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE since he entered the political arena at the request of Crooked Joe Biden.” He concluded with a nostalgic reference, “Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio!!!”
