It’s almost poetic, isn’t it? That in cities famed for their spectacle and excess, the farce of DEI has played out its final act. In New Orleans, a city where diversity should have been its strength, we saw instead a parade of incompetence led by those chosen not for their merit but for the checkboxes they could tick. In Las Vegas, where the illusion of control is part of the allure, the reality of a system prioritizing diversity over competence exploded into the public eye, literally. And let’s not forget the LA FD, where the focus was so skewed towards ensuring every fire truck had the right mix of identities that they forgot the primary task – putting out fires. Now, as we look at the aftermath, with lives lost and communities in shambles, America seems to have reached its saturation point with this nonsense. The lake, once a symbol of natural beauty, now serves as a metaphor for what happens when you prioritize the depth of diversity over the depth of capability. The end of DEI, spurred by these catastrophes, is not just a moment of reckoning; it’s a beautiful, if sarcastic, reminder that when it comes to public safety and competence, we’ve had enough of this ideological charade.
