Stephen Colbert’s fall from grace isn’t just the end of a show—it’s the death rattle of a dying media empire. *The Late Show* didn’t just get stale. It rotted. Night after night, Colbert smirked his way through monologues that felt less like comedy and more like pharmaceutical-sponsored sermons. He wasn’t mocking power. He *was* power. Backed by Big Pharma ad dollars, intelligence-agency-friendly scripts, and DNC-approved narratives, Colbert transformed from a once-brilliant satirist into the nightly host of America’s ideological struggle session.

This wasn’t comedy. It was cultural compliance theater.

For years, his audience—mostly affluent, mostly terrified of being labeled “problematic”—laughed on cue. But as his ratings slipped and his punchlines lost their punch, even the most loyal viewers began to wake up.
