After Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) recently tried to badger President Donald Trump’s CIA pick Gina Haspel in front of Congress, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino humiliated her in the worst way. Kamala isn’t big league material.
On May 9, 2018, Gina Haspel began to run the gauntlet of Congressional confirmation hearings after being nominated by President Donald Trump to take the helm of the CIA as the first woman to do so in American history. Now, those of us of the conservative persuasion are more typically concerned with a person’s qualifications and performance as opposed to liberals who love making decisions based on, well, everything else.
As Haspel entered into the confirmation hearings, Senate Democrats quickly abandoned their gender equality and equal opportunity outposts to attack Haspel primarily because she would fill a key role in Trump’s administration. Secondarily, liberals don’t want to see Haspel become the CIA Director due to her outstanding track record of overseeing the torture of terrorists. Haspel reportedly helped run the program for the CIA in which terrorists and killers were waterboarded amongst other things.
“So, one question I’ve not heard you answer is: Do you believe that the previous interrogation techniques were immoral?” Kamala Harris asked. When Gina Haspel tried to provide a comprehensive answer to the Senator’s question, Kamala cut her off and demanded a “yes” or “no” answer. This is exactly the kind of idiocy liberals are known for. Kamala was simply interested in trying to pigeonhole Haspel, rather than discuss facts.
As Haspel again tried to explain to Kamala that the CIA agents who were involved in the now illegal interrogation techniques were performing their duty to save lives, Kamala continued to rudely interrupt and badger her for a “yes” or “no” answer, according to Politico. What a perfect example of how greaseball politicians work to push a political agenda, and in this case the purpose was to disqualify Haspel.
In my opinion, Gina Haspel should be confirmed with flying colors and then be allowed to bring back the practice of waterboarding terrorists for the simple fact that its the least they deserve. Bleeding heart liberals like Kamala Harris, however, insisted on attacking Haspel for her role in torturing terrorists. The problem with Kamala’s approach to badgering Haspel during the confirmation hearings is that it all came off as rather elementary.
Following the first round of hearings, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino appeared on Fox News with Laura Ingraham to deliver a dose of painful truth on Kamala’s sophomoric intelligence level.
“I’m kind of disgusted by Kamala Harris,” Dan Bongino exclaimed. “Listen, the question is fair. The way she phrased it, is not. Asking about the history of our use of enhanced interrogation and our future with it is a perfectly fair, and frankly a question every United States citizen should get an answer to,” Bongino continued.
“But asking it as a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question as if the entire field, Laura, of ethics which exists in the gray matter of morality. Asking it like a kindergartner would, like, hey listen — is killing bad? Well, it depends, in war, to defend your family. I mean the entire field of ethics, human beings live on the margin. A lot of these things are marginal questions. Acting like it’s a yes or no, Laura, that was only done because she’s setting herself up for a presidential run,” Bongino added.
I could not agree more with Dan Bongino. Kamala Harris is a bottom feeder in the Democratic Party and is nowhere near presidential material. Her simple lack of perspective when it comes to national security and the necessity for enhanced interrogation programs is in my opinion, disqualifying. It’s unfortunate that the people of California would send such a political deviant to Washington, D.C. to represent their interests.
It’s a sad reality of our country that people like Kamala can weasel their way into Congress with very little real-world experience. In contrast, we are privileged to have extraordinary people like Haspel who have worked for years to make America safer through her service in the CIA. Congress would only reinforce the notion that they are fools if they don’t confirm Haspel for CIA Director.
