The FBI is finding out just how a tangled web can be weaved when one practices deceit as a regular part of their lifestyle. The blows just keep coming, too. As of Friday, two top F.B.I. aides who worked alongside disgraced former director James B. Comey as he navigated one of the most politically tumultuous periods in the bureau’s history resigned on Friday.

A newly unredacted version of the House Intelligence Committee’s final report on Russia was released on Friday, containing bombshell revelations stemming from the Congressional testimony of former FBI and DOJ officials Andrew McCabe and James Comey. For starters, the redacted section of the report covers up the fact that former deputy director Andrew McCabe told Congressional investigators the FBI had virtually no case against former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn.

McCabe also says that Comey spearheaded the “ambush” of Flynn at the White House – in which two FBI agents, one of whom was Peter Strzok dropped in unannounced to interrogate him.

McCabe further revealed to the committee that “The two people who interviewed [Flynn] didn’t think he was lying[.]” as well as “[N]ot [a] great beginning of a false statement case.”
“Deputy Director McCabe confirmed the interviewing agent’s initial impression and stated that the ‘conundrum that we faced on their return from the interview is that although [the agents] didn’t detect deception in the statements that he made in the interview … the statements were inconsistent with our understanding of the conversation that he had actually had with the ambassador,’” the report states.

That same report also reveals that Comey contradicted his own testimony in a recent interview with Bret Baier calling into question the veracity of his entire testimony. Comey, McCabe, and then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Mary McCord also provided the committee with “conflicting testimony.”

McCabe told the committee that “The two people who interviewed [Flynn] didn’t think he was lying[.]” as well as “[N]ot [a] great beginning of a false statement case.”

Not that he actually LIED as was accused of but that “the statements were inconsistent with our understanding of the conversation” which sounds like Flynn did not say what the FBI wanted him to say or make a bombshell confession they could later use against him.

Then come the revelations of contradictory statements made by Comey when he told Fox News host Bret Baier that he did not tell Congressional investigators what McCabe told them – that the two FBI agents who interviewed former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn did not think he was lying to them.

The new report reads – “Director Comey testified to the Committee that ‘the agents…discerned no physical indications of deception. They didn’t see any change in posture, in tone, in inflection, in eye contact. They saw nothing that indicated to them that he knew he was lying to them.”

Yet just last week Comey told Fox’s Baier – Did you tell lawmakers that FBI agents didn’t believe former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was lying intentionally to investigators?

Comey: No. And I saw that in the media. I don’t know what – maybe someone misunderstood something I said. I didn’t believe that, and didn’t say that.

It was noted by Sean Davis of The Federalist that the DOJ and FBI and the “demanded significant redactions to the document not to protect national security or sources and methods, but to protect potentially corrupt officials from accountability” is noteworthy and alarming in the extreme.

The Flynn redactions appear to have been done to protect a false statements case with no evidentiary basis in fact or otherwise, no need to protect sources or sensitive material. Yet other redactions appear to have been done in an effort to hide a full-on conspiracy to spy on and leak against President Trump officials simply out of spite over the election results.

Meanwhile, House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) dropped a bombshell of his own pointing out to Fox News‘s Laura Ingraham that he and his committee “been fighting with the Department of Justice and the FBI, for six weeks, to release this information to the American people.” Yet they had many in Washington actively working to thwart them from doing so. One has to wonder exactly WHAT they are hiding? The American people are starting to get a glimpse of that
