In 1997, Dan Baumann went to Iran as a Christian missionary to preach the Gospel. After spending two weeks there and as he prepared to leave, he and his friend were arrested on false charges which eventually led to having two death sentences on his life.
He was miraculously released after 9 grueling weeks in prison. His book, “Imprisoned in Iran” shares the intimate details of his imprisonment and God’s miracle during his incarceration.

I was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up there and went to El Camino Junior College transferred to Wheaton College and finished my Bachelor’s in Business. I joined Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and moved to Afghanistan as a volunteer worker for an eye hospital. I worked for five years full-time and four years part-time working as an administrator at that eye hospital helping to the Afghani people.
In 1997, I went on a two week visit into Iran to share about the love of Jesus. My friend and I were arrested on false charges which eventually led to having two death sentences on my life. I was miraculously released after 9 weeks in the prison.
I’ve written a book, Imprisoned in Iran, which shares the details of God’s miracle during this part of my life.
8:00pm EDT Welcome debut guest, live from St Louis via Skype video, Mr Edward Cage.
Edward Cage was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Raised on the city’s North side, he was faced with countless challenges, each of which he overcame. Edward’s teen years were full of pain and confusion, including running with a gang and becoming a father at the age of sixteen.
He dropped out of high school and began to sell drugs, but when so many of his old school mates were killed or locked up, Edward decided to make a change and got a job at a sandwich shop. While working there he learned a great truth: he couldn’t read or write. Mad at the world generally and and white people specifically, he turned to Islam.
But as he taught himself to read and write, he started to see life in Black America differently. He stopped feeling sorry for himself, and walked away from Islam. This journey has taken him from liberalism to being a God-fearing, strong-minded, thought-provoking, in-your-face Christian Conservative with an attitude. As Edward says, “Once I was able to read past a third grade level with comprehension I never voted Democratic again, I ran with my wife and kids off the plantation to freedom.”
We are excited to welcome such a fine gentleman, exemplary Christian and bulldog conservative to our program this evening. The only question on our minds is: how did we run this long without featuring this man?

Eighteen year old Misty breathes a sigh of releif no longer haveing to fear her stepfather will kill her. This is short lived however when she finds herself refuseing to be silenced. This ancient tradition in wich Amish sex abuse victims are made to forgive their atackers and continue to live life as normal. If the victim refuses to be quiet about the incident they are paid a visit by the ministers in which they are harshly reprimanded and if they still refuse to be silenced they are shunned.
Her intrest include Humantarian work, hiking, animals, writing poetry, crafts and embracing life with a positive attitude.
