The Indiana State Senate has rejected a proposed congressional redistricting map just months ahead of the midterm elections, delivering a setback to the Trump administration’s effort to reshape House maps in Republican-controlled states.
The chamber voted 31–19 to kill the map, with 21 Republicans joining Democrats in opposition. If approved, the plan could have netted Republicans two additional House seats.
