Senator Ted Cruz recently praised President Donald Trump for successfully bringing home three Americans from imprisonment in North Korea. Then, Cruz turned around and hit former President Barack Obama with a nasty reminder you won’t want to miss.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed home Kim Dong-Chul, Kim Hak-Song, and Kim Sang-Duk (Tony Kim) on Thursday, May 10, 2018, after they were released by the North Korean government into the custody of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Following the release of the American hostages, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Fox News‘ Fox & Friends on Thursday, May 10, 2018, to praise President Trump for his achievements and also to hit Barack Obama with a reminder of one of his biggest failures as a President of the United States.
When asked his take on the current events surrounding the release of the three American prisoners, Cruz said, “It’s a big deal and the President is to be commended for bringing these three Americans home. That is a major victory and it’s really the results of American strength,” Daily Caller reports.
I could not agree more with Cruz. Finally, we have a President who understands that our country can only maintain its power and influence in the world by peace through strength. This is something the former administration, under Barack Obama, could not understand.

“We saw for eight years under Barack Obama a foreign policy that was really a policy of weakness and appeasement. You remember how Obama put it, leading from behind. And the problem is, weakness and appeasement doesn’t work especially with dictators like Kim Jong-un,” Cruz added.
Cruz is absolutely right. Obama tried to grovel and plead his way into favor with foreign leaders regardless of their track record with human rights violations or hostility toward America. That kind of wimpy thinking only produces one thing — bullies. Now, Trump is successfully dealing with the bullies who Obama helped empower.

Cruz continued to share his thoughts on the matter as he praised Trump. “President Trump has come in with a strong American foreign policy, getting back to peace through strength and I think we’re seeing the results of it with three Americans coming home,” Cruz said.

When asked why the mainstream media has almost ignored Trump’s victory with North Korea and the homecoming of the hostages, Cruz pointed to the obvious truth. “Most of the media, they’re just out of their minds. They have what I call Trump derangement syndrome, where all they can do is attack the President all day long on the scandal of the day. I gotta tell you I think most Texans are really tired of it. When I go home, nobody asks about the latest scandal of the day and whatever the talking heads are lighting their hair on fire about,” Cruz said.
Then, Cruz hammered down. “People are excited about tax cuts, about regulations being lifted, about jobs growing. I’ll tell you what people are excited about for example is yesterday at the White House, I was there, the President made a decision that saved thousands of jobs. He stepped in and solved the broken RIN system. RIN is something the EPA invented to enforce the ethanol mandate,” Cruz said.

“What happened was RIN skyrocketed and they were threatening the jobs of thousands upon thousands of blue-collar union members at refineries. Refineries in Texas, refineries in Pennsylvania. I’ve been for six months, working with the President, working with other senators and yesterday the President made a terrific decision. He stepped in and said that we’re going to allow RIN to be created when ethanol is exported. What that means is we’re going to export a lot more ethanol,” Senator Ted Cruz declared.

“That’s going to help corn farmers, we’re going to sell more ethanol and he’s also going to allow e-15 to be sold year round, it’s a big win for corn farmers. But, critically, the President, because of his bold leadership, is saving the jobs of thousands, even tens of thousands of blue-collar union members, refinery workers, exactly the people who elected Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton. It was exactly the right decision,” Cruz concluded.
The bottom line here is that even a guy like Ted Cruz who was so against Donald Trump, in the beginning, has come full circle and has realized that this is the President America needed. We were in a do-or-die situation and needed a fighter to battle the corruption in our government and deal with rogue nations like North Korea while putting our economy back together. That’s exactly what we got.
