  1. Dude. You can’t even put GC and Dane ***** in the same sentence! GC is ONE OF A KIND!!!!!!!

  2. I think ’84, he talks about Beirut in this show. I have it at home, well worth the cost.

  3. People are going to hate me for this, but G.C. Is very much like Dane cook. They have very similar styles, especially when G.C. was young.

Admitedly George Carlin is INCREDIBLY intellegent and tends to think, and joke about very serious and important issues about american/world socites… and Dane cook is just a tool.

  4. …you just put them in the same sentence tho…so yu just contradicted yurself like an ********…what an assholeeeee!!!!

  5. I saw G.C. when he was beginning his final tour. We were his “test audience”, as he was trying out his newest (and sadly, his last) material before presenting it for his last HBO concert in March of 2008. I grew up listening to his albums and watching him on The Ed Sullivan Show…..Man, I guess I’m old!

  6. There are quite a lot of similarities between the greeka nd the norse gods, both sets of gods were derived from actual people who existed whose fame became legend and then myth and eneded up resembling deities. Much like Jesus was real person and his legend has lived on until today where now many people though acknowledging his existance as an ordinary human being while he was alive invisage him as an unseen spirit.

  7. Carlin admits doing being a sell out. People ask him about which part of his career he is most proud of he says how much his books and CDs sell. Dont get hung up on being a “sell out”, the difrence between Dane cook and george carlin is that

  8. United Nations banned flamethrowers lulz…

I guess the UN hated the most popular method used to defeat Japan.

  9. I watched like three times through when he says “we have people who we’d like to throw flame on” and it got funnier everytime, like jacking off my sense of humor!

  11. I would agree but only with the young George Carlin. I don’t mind Dane Cooks storytelling either, he’s pretty good at explaining and exaggerating stuff, but he’s way overrated and his movies suck balls. Carlin had some principles and he is a man you can admire, Dane Cook is more of a douche and a cheap sell out. Still I like his previous stand up acts, they were pretty funny. Vicious Circle is where he started going down slowly.

  12. True. I’d also like to add that the idea of Hell is largely derived from Tartarus of Greek mythology. (I’m guessing that’s the origin of the word “tarnation.”) Hell is often called “Hades” after the Greek god of the Underworld. However, he not only ruled over Tartarus, but also the Elesian Fields, which is the basis for the Christian concept of Heaven (except that it was still underground). So the next time somebody says “go to hell,” there’s a 50/50 chance they’re sending you to paradise.

  13. It is called “Carlin on Campus”. I have the first part of all of carlin’s HBO specials (except for “Playin’ with your head”, I couldn’t find the whole concert anywere) on a playlist. Just click the political/social playlist and choose which special you want to see.
