MSNBC host and fake Republican Joe Scarborough used his “Morning Joe” show on Thursday to attack two of the most prominent names in the political party that he says he belongs to. The first person Scarborough set his sights on is one of his favorite targets, Fox News host Sean Hannity, with whom he has a long and storied feud.
Joe Scarborough went into a lengthy rant in defense of special counsel Robert Mueller and the fact that Sean Hannity used, what he called, the “Comey standard” likening Mueller to a mafia boss. The “Comey standard” was used by Hannity after former FBI Director James Comey likened President Donald Trump to a mafia boss. Hannity took exception and detailed crime boss type actions taken by Mueller and the deep state on his show on Wednesday.
“During Mueller’s time as a federal prosecutor in Boston, four — four men wrongfully imprisoned for decades — framed by an FBI informant,” Hannity said. He added that during Mueller’s time heading the FBI, the department “looked the other way” on the criminal activity of gangster James “Whitey” Bulger because he was an informant for the FBI. The show was promoted on Twitter by President Trump who wrote, “Big show tonight on @seanhannity! 9:00 P.M. on @FoxNews.”
Sean Hannity used Twitter to defend what he said about James Comey and Robert Mueller. “Fake news please Follow the bouncing ball, I said THIS IS THE COMEY STANDARD. I am sure you are upset at the former FBI directors comments comparing a sitting President to the mob,” he said.
Hannity also took aim at Comey, both on his show and in a story he wrote on the Fox News website. “If Comey is really looking for mobsters at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., he missed one – the Clinton crime family,” he wrote.
“The Clinton crime family included numerous associates – Cheryl Mills, the Hillary consigliere to whom Comey granted immunity in exchange for nothing. Huma Abedin, her underboss, who also mishandled national secrets, even handing them over to her pervert husband, former Democratic congressman Anthony Weiner,” Sean Hannity said.
The comments drew the ire of Joe Scarborough who has been a puppet for the Democrat Party since President Donald Trump was elected. “It’s beneath contempt,” the MSNBC host said. “Sean Hannity is a desperate, desperate man. Desperately defending a desperate, desperate president.”
“Sean Hannity has a show that Shep Smith and the rest of the news people at Fox News consider to be a joke. They call it fake news, they call it entertainment. And that’s fine if people want to be entertained that way at night. People watch the Kardashians, too. But when you have people at Fox News saying that’s not really news, that’s entertainment, it is,” he said.
“It’s trash, though. The fact that he is entertained and the fact that other people are entertained, by trashing a hero in Vietnam. By trashing a man that’s guided America through 9/11, a man that’s dedicated his entire life to protecting Americans at home and abroad, is beneath contempt. And it shows how desperate they all are,” Scarborough said.
He then shifted his attention to Newt Gingrich who was the Speaker of the House when Scarborough was a Republican congressman. “I don’t know exactly what Newt Gingrich is getting out of this. Newt Gingrich skips the Vietnam War. Robert Mueller goes there and serves admirably. And Newt Gingrich is comparing a war hero and a man who has dedicated his entire life to protecting the U.S. Constitution, to Stalin?” he said.
“For Newt Gingrich to shame himself, for Newt Gingrich to disgrace himself, for Newt Gingrich to humiliate himself, for Newt Gingrich to lay waste to his legacy, by comparing a Vietnam War hero, who has dedicated his entire life to protecting the U.S. Constitution of Americans. To compare Bob Mueller to Joseph Stalin, the most evil man of the 20th century? Shows you how contemptible Newt Gingrich is as a man. And shows you how desperate he and everything else involved in this wretched exercise are, that now they understand that 70% of Americans want the Mueller investigation to be completed,” Joe Scarborough said.
“And sadly, it is the sign of just how low people will go to denigrate themselves and forever sully their historical reputation by defending the indefensible,” Scarborough said. “Donald Trump … once again proves, that no one around him leaves without a sullied and tarnished reputation.”
It is sad for Joe Scarborough. He has been unhinged since Election Day, and he gets more insane by the day. He has continuously attacked Sean Hannity, whose show dwarfs his in ratings. But then, that is probably why Scarborough is obsessed with him.
