A Philadelphia reporter is now an expert on how to commit career suicide in a few easy steps.
Colleen Campbell probably woke up hoping everything that happened Sunday was just a bad dream but, unfortunately for the PHL 17 on-air talent, it was real – and caught on camera.
Campbell was at the Helium Comedy Club on Sunday when she was asked to leave, Philly Magazine reported. Also there for the show was New York City comic Wil Sylvince, who said Campbell was being loud in the comedy club.

** WARNING: Graphic Language **
Sylvince caught the 28 year-old on video outside the venue as she went on a profanity-laced rant against a security guard and a police officer who tried to convince her to just go home. On her way out, Campbell allegedly “assaulted (kicking, punching, and eye poking) 3 of the employees in bar area right outside the showroom,” Sylvince wrote on Facebook where he posted the video.
Campbell yelled, shoved and even mocked spitting at the security guard before the very patient Philadelphia police officer had to handcuff and arrest her.
“You’re arresting a girl for no f***ing reason,” she yelled in the officer’s face. “If I had my tits out and my ass hanging out you wouldn’t arrest me right?”
Campbell, who is originally from South Jersey and graduated from Temple University in 2016 with a B.A. in broadcast journalism, taunted the officer before taking the final leap off the cliff.
“I work at a f**king news station mother*cker,” she said. “I work at PHL 17.”
Well, not any more.
PHL-TV apparently scrubbed Campbell’s biography from their website as well as most of her videos and articles. Campbell’s personal social media accounts also seem to have been deleted.
She has not replied to a request for comment, according to Philly Magazine.
Campbell is due back in court on June 13th after being released from jail Monday afternoon on her own recognizance. She is charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
Twitter users appeared to agree that Campbell’s rant was worthy of an award.
