Sometimes archaeologists make stunning discoveries regarding the history of the human race, but there are many debates about the age and technology found at these sites. These archaeological discoveries will make you wonder how complex, bizarre and advanced the ancients were. An out-of-place artifact (OOPArt) is an artifact of historical, archaeological, or paleontological interest found in an unusual context, that challenges conventional historical chronology by being “too advanced” for the level of civilization that existed at the time, or showing “human presence” before humans were known to exist. Other examples suggest contact between different cultures that are hard to account for with conventional historical understanding.

The processes and technologies involved in the creation of these ancient megaliths are still not fully understood by today’s scholars. Though conventional history generally attributes these works to known civilizations, the evidence suggests that they were, in fact, made by much older civilizations. Since these works still defy explanation, historians continue to regurgitate what they were taught and ignore the evidence staring them in the face. Due to the difficulty of carving basanite these objects could not be made today even with modern technology. And how did they carve deep, detailed designs in granite, etc.? The mystery is so perplexing that many people have assumed the objects were made by aliens.

The temple of Angkor Wat, the Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, and the famous statues on Easter Island were all built without the conveniences of modern technology. Ancient peoples didn’t have access to forklifts, hydraulic cranes, or flatbed trucks. So how did they build the temples and statues that we admire today?

Ancient Sumerian artifacts, and other archeological relics not currently accessible to the public are looked at in detail and reveal a history that has been lost to the sands of time. These Annunaki artifacts usually depict them with wings or riding in winged discs. This is believed to communicate their ability to fly through visual pictographic language. It did not mean they actually had wings. The vast majority of people viewing these images could not read cuneiform, so pictures had to communicate content and meaning.

Sumer (or Shumer, Egyptian Sangar, Bib. Shinar, native ki-en-gir, (from Ki = Earth, En = (title) usually translated as Lord, Gir = (cultured) usually translated as Civilised, thus “the land of the civilised lords”) was an ancient civilization located in the southern part of Mesopotamia (modern day southeastern Iraq) from the time of the earliest records in the mid 4th millennium BC until the rise of Babylonia in the late 3rd millennium BC. The term “Sumerian” applies to all speakers of the Sumerian language. Sumer is considered the first settled society in the world to have manifested all the features needed to qualify fully as a “civilization”.

Every now and then, archaeologists stumble upon objects that are so strange they cannot be easily explained.
