Resistance is Victory: The Tide Is Turning

When The People take the battlefield in the Infowar, they begin to have victories. Here’s just a few examples of recent victories– both partial and whole– from the campaign to Stop SOPA, to Ron Paul’s 2012 campaign, the movement to remove dangerous chemicals from our food, water and vaccines, to the battle to stop the police state– with many more victories to come in 2012. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton herself admitted that the big brother state was losing the Infowar. Ideas are bulletproof. Remember what Victor Hugo said: ‘No army can stop an idea whose time has come.’

Cupids Inspiration – Yesterday has gone 1968 (# 4 in UK 1968) ‘It’s amazing what you can do with one hit: Smash hit Yesterday Has Gone provided Leamington four-piece Cupid’s Inspiration with the platform for a music career spanning three decades. The pop/rock song climbed to number four in the charts back in 1968 and remains their most well known tune. But strangely, the hit stormed the top ten before any of the Leamington crew had joined the band. Lead singer Martin Cure replaced original front man Terry Rice-Milton two years later, recruited Leamington musicians and returned home from London in 1974. Cure, who now lives in Sydenham and hires out PA systems, said: “We managed to carve a living out of Yesterday Has Gone without recording it or ever achieving the same success again. It’s amazing what you can do with one hit and it still gets played on the radio.” Cupid’s Inspiration, whose line-up is completed by guitarist Jim Batty, drummer Paul Brook and bassist Keith Hancock, continued to tour until 2002, supporting the likes of The Searchers on 1960s package shows.
