While average Americans continue to struggle, in the aftermath of eight years of Obama, the Obama family continues to live the life of luxury and hobnobbing with Hollywood elites. Not surprising, Malia Obama who is the eldest daughter, has been rubbing elbows with some of the most rich A-list celebrities in the nation as of late.
Last month, a PR firm sent out a recap of the 25th anniversary screening of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs that listed notable attendees.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that this list of attendees included Harvey Weinstein, Tim Roth, Christian Slater, Adriana Lima, and Paul Haggis. It also included 18 year-old Malia.
This marked the first time Malia was included in an event recap. She has spent the spring interning at Weinstein’s New York City office before she attends Harvard University in the fall.
This came after Western Journalism reported that the Obamas just purchased the 8,200-square-foot Kalorama mansion they’ve been renting since their exit from the White House for $8.1 million. They plan to stay there for at least two and a half more years, ostensibly so that their daughter Sasha can finish high school in Washington.
“Given that the president and Mrs. Obama will be in Washington for at least another two and a half years, it made sense for them to buy a home rather than continuing to rent property,” said Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis.
However, many believe the Obamas are actually staying in Washington to keep an eye on Donald Trump while they build a shadow government that they hope will rise up against him.
