A shocking story has emerged out of Memphis, Tennessee, where four thugs assaulted a man who was carrying his little girl in his arms. After trying to tackle the victim to the ground, these punks realized their big mistake too late.
Four violent thugs decided to attempt robbing a man who was carrying his young daughter outside a McDonalds in Memphis on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, according to Memphis police. The attack, which took place in broad daylight would not turn out the way that the four suspects had likely expected.
According to local news source WREG, one person who witnessed the horrific attack was David Chase. He told WREG what he saw before calling 911. “They jumped out of the car and they started fighting him and trying to take his wallet and stuff,” said Chase. “He was fighting them. He dropped his baby and started fighting them and the child was just sitting on the concrete,” Chase added.
What a horrific situation for any father to find himself in. Four attackers endangering your life and the life of your young child would be enough to send any person over the edge. Thankfully, this protective father managed to fight back and in such a way that sent his four attackers running scared.
Chase then said he heard three to four gunshots. The fed-up dad had managed to pull his firearm and shoot at the suspects. One of the suspects was hit by the victim’s gunfire, according to Local Memphis. The cowards were no longer beating the victim at that point but instead were seen running to their vehicle and trying not to get shot.
Police said the suspects fled in a black Infiniti and a short time later they dropped off the wounded suspect at a fire station. Memphis police later identified the suspects as Cortez Cole, Quinton Webb, Terrell Pullen, and Ladarius Pugues. Each of the suspects was arrested and charged.
For the time being, Memphis police are not saying whether or not any charges will be filed against the victim for shooting one of his attackers. This should be an easy call once it gets to the desk of the D.A.’s office. The victim was most definitely trying to protect himself and his daughter when he shot the thug. The suspect is lucky to have survived.
While some might fault the victim for only injuring one suspect, I can understand how having four moving targets that just finished assaulting you as you held your little girl in your arms would make you really indecisive about who to shoot first. This father did what he had to do and there was no way of knowing if or when the thugs would have stopped beating him.
Every week in our country, there are brutal crimes like this one that often leaves the victim beaten, robbed, raped, or murdered. It’s seldom that a victim is able to fight back like the man in this story did to protect himself and his daughter. Thanks to the victim’s decision to carry a firearm, he was able to fight back against his attackers and protect himself and his little girl.
Once again, the 2nd Amendment pulls its own weight. A man and his daughter are alive and well because he was ready to handle business when he was forced to do so. Despite the negative things the mainstream media might say about the man, the reality here is that he deserves a tremendous amount of gratitude from the community for having fought back and taken action which did lead to the arrest and likely incarceration of the thugs.
