It was a speech about the need for far greater official secrecy (regarding military secrets like movement of troops, manpower and equipment) and the need for far greater public information. The two are seemingly contradictory and the first might be construed by some as a license to official press censorship which JFK opposed.

  19. The greatest president ever, this man was not perfect by any regards, but tell me wich presidant ever was. What i thank JFK more for than anything he ever did, was what he didn’t do. When the russians where on the island of cuba and ready to strike, all of JFK’s top generals were begging to go to war. Most of theese were his peers and allot older than him yet he held strong to his beleifs and remained calm cool and collected and kept us from nuclear war. He saved this country from ww3
