Trump ‘If The North Korea Meeting Doesn’t Go Well, I Know What I’m Going To Do’

Over the decades, we’ve had a few Presidents that lacked backbone.
Not all of them were willing to send a clear message to other world leaders, especially if that message was a warning.
But Donald Trump isn’t one to shy away from such situations.
If things aren’t going well, he’s not going to dance around the issue and play the useless diplomat. He’s not going to waste time; he’s going to act.
He doesn’t care if it seems rude: he’s just going to leave.
According to a new Fox News report, the President said that if the meeting doesn’t appear to be successful, he will “respectfully” get up and walk out.
As Trump said at a joint news conference alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe:
“I hope to have a very successful meeting. If we don’t think it’s going to be successful, we won’t have it.
If I think it’s a meeting that is not going to be fruitful, we’re not going to go.
If the meeting when I’m there is not fruitful, I will respectfully leave the meeting.“
Trump plans to discuss the denuclearization of North Korea when he meets with Kim, and he swears he won’t make the same mistakes as his predecessors:
“We will not repeat the mistakes of previous administrations [and] our campaign of maximum pressure will continue until North Korea denuclearizes.”
Furthermore, Abe told Trump that just because North Korea is open to a conversation, that doesn’t mean the U.S. should relieve pressure on Pyongyang.
The entire world is very aware of the dangers a nuclear North Korea presents, especially when an unbalanced individual has his finger on the button.
On top of which, Trump’s administration continues to fight to free any Americans held by North Korea, which will be another topic at the meeting.
But again, if Kim Jong Un isn’t going to listen at all, and he’s simply going to browbeat everyone there (as he does in his own country), Trump won’t stand for it.
Obviously, Trump has a very strong personality but this is about more than that:
This is about sending a message. This is about saying, “we won’t give you the time of day if you act insane.”
And that’s exactly how Trump should treat the situation. Wouldn’t you agree?
