Trump Just Broke Another Two-Decade Long Tradition That Has Liberals FUMING

Oh the irony. Butt hurt liberals and “moderate” Muslims are crying because President Donald Trump decided to go golfing, rather than host an iftar dinner, a tradition of the White House which the administration’s of President Clinton, Buash, and Obama each held, marking the end of Ramadan.

Of course those who are not fond President Trump had to come up with the most ridiculous statements because the President decided not to hold an iftar dinner. Talib Shareef, the Imam of the Nation’s Mosque in Washington D.C stated the following, ““It is disappointing because that’s been a good tradition. To stop it doesn’t send a good message. You get the chance to go golfing and all this other kind of stuff. How come you don’t have time for a population of your society that needs some assistance? The message that it sends is that we’re not that important”. Mamadou Samba, who works in the D.C. Mayor’s office as the Director for the Mayor’s Office of African Affairs (MOAA) stated “As a tradition held by U.S. presidents, I personally appreciate the reception as recognition of our faith and as Muslim Americans. I looked forward to it this year but was a bit disappointed that it did not occur and wonder what it means to have skipped it.”

Are these guys serious? One is butt hurt because he feels somehow Muslim Americans need assistance via a state dinner paid for by taxpayers and the other is crying in his milk because he’s simply disappointed. Do they even know how much these state dinners cost? I’ll tell you. A state dinner, depending on the country and leader being hosted can cost between $200,000 to almost $600,000 dollars.

Back in 2014, Mark Knoller from CBS News published an article outlining the cost of several state dinners the Obama administration held. “In response to a Freedom of Information request to which it took the State Department 13 months to respond, CBS News has obtained the Office of Protocol’s expense calculations for the first five state dinners of the Obama presidency.

24, 2009 – State dinner for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India. $572,187.36
May 19, 2010 – State dinner for President Felipe Calderon of Mexico. $563,479.92
19, 2011 – State dinner for President Hu Jintao of China. $412,329.73.
June 7, 2011 – State dinner for Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany. $215,883.36
13, 2011 – State dinner for President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea. $203,053.34
The total cost of all these dinners comes to $1,966,933.71. And before you snow flake liberals go on about the cost of President Trump going golfing, he went to his own club for one, and two, maybe you should go back and look at how much money President Obama and his family spent on their lavish vacations on the taxpayer dime.

Maybe President Trump decided it would not be a wise use of taxpayer money to host a dinner for a majority of people who are there to either kiss his rear end, or who hate him. Maybe President Trump decided hosting this dinner; in light off all the terrorist attacks taking place would be highly offensive to the majority of Americans’ who voted for him. Oh I know we are all racist and Islam is a religion of piece. Lets move on.
President Trump and the White House did send out a message wishing Muslims a happy Ramadan. Part of the statement reads, “I extend my best wishes to Muslims everywhere for a blessed month as you observe the Ramadan traditions of charity, fasting, and prayer. May God bless you and your families”. Maybe this was not enough butt kissing for the Washington D.C. bureaucrats, CAIR Leaders, and people who are from being part of the average everyday Muslim American community. My bet is President Trump simply did not want to deal with these elitist folks. Hey snowflakes, in case you have not noticed President Trump really does not care what you think. What President Trump cares about is making American Great Again. Not spending time placating to elitists who think they have a right to a White House State Dinner. Get over yourselves and your inflated egos.
