President Donald Trump gave a big welcome home to the Amerian hostages released by North Korea following a visit from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Now, “Crying” Chuck Schumer is embarrassing himself again with his pathetic reaction.
According to Daily Caller, Trump welcomed home Kim Dong-Chul, Kim Hak-Song, and Kim Sang-Duk (Tony Kim) on Thursday, May 10, 2018, after they were released by the North Korean government into the custody of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. As Trump gave the three former hostages a tremendously warm welcome, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) lashed out with a pathetic warning for the President.
As the Trump administration secured the release of the three American citizens being held by North Korea, Schumer got busy doing what he does best — crying about it. In an attempt to look like a tough guy or perhaps steal a little spotlight for himself, Schumer made a statement warning Trump that hostages aren’t bargaining chips and that he had better not go easy on North Korea after they released the prisoners.
“We cannot forget: No regime has the right to hold American citizens in captivity without cause, and under no circumstances should American citizens be viewed as bargaining chips,” Schumer said Wednesday on the Senate floor, according to the Washington Examiner. “If countries in the world think they can detain Americans and get something in return, we’ll see many more hostages.”
Schumer claims to be “rooting for” the success of U.S. talks with North Korea, but he added that “the hostages shouldn’t be part of it.” What kind of lunatic wouldn’t want our own citizens freed as part of negotiations with a rogue country? Schumer is a classless idiot.
In contrast to Schumer’s liberal moaning, the three American men released by North Korea issued a statement following their return home, praising President Donald Trump and his administration for bringing them back safely.
“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Donald Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home,” a statement from the three Americans read. “We thank God and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return. God bless America, the greatest nation in the world,” the statement concluded.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed the three Americans home to the United States at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland early Thursday after they were released by their North Korean captors. A small crowd applauded as the Trumps and the three men came down the steps of a medical aircraft at approximately 3 a.m.
The three prisoners were released by North Korea on Wednesday as a gesture of goodwill preceding the summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un which is to take place in the near future in Singapore. During the welcoming home ceremony, Trump told reporters, “They are really three incredible people,”
“Frankly, we didn’t think this was going to happen,” Trump said, adding that he wanted to pay his “warmest respects to the parents of Otto Warmbier,” an American prisoner who died shortly after being returned home in 2017 due to injuries sustained in North Korean custody.
Mike Pompeo and his staff did not know for certain that the prisoners were going to be released until they were physically aboard his plane. The release of the three Americans from North Korea is a huge wake-up call for Americans who watched former President Barack Obama secure the release of four American prisoners from Iran after the Iran nuclear deal was signed and Obama secretly transported billions of dollars in cash from the U.S. to the Iranian government.
The reality here is that Democrats, especially Chuck Schumer, hate to see President Trump winning. They don’t want to see our hostages come home and certainly not in a way that makes Obama look like a fool. It’s no wonder that America is fed-up with liberals and their many failures. Thank God we finally have a President who wants to put Americans first.
