A ‘Continuity of Government’ bunker is located at the resort where Members of Congress traveled yesterday before the train they were on collided with a garbage truck. Interesting. Continuity of government (COG) is the principle of establishing defined procedures that allow a government to continue its essential operations in case of a catastrophic event such as nuclear war. Don’t all garbage trucks have chips in them to let ownership and companies know where they are at all times? Could the speed of the train and the velocity of the truck be synced via remote control to create and thus cause a collision where it looked precisely like the truck driver was perhaps trying to beat the train. He’s dead and can’t speak up. Dead men tell no tales. Think. Ask. Inquire. Dig.

The Continuity of Government facility intended since 1962 to house the United States Congress, code-named Casper, is located on the grounds of the prestigious Greenbrier resort. The bunker is beneath the West Virginia wing, which includes a complete medical clinic. Construction of the facility, which began in 1959, required 2.5 years and 50,000 tons of concrete. The steel-reinforced concrete walls of the bunker, which is 20 feet below ground, are 2 feet thick. The facility includes separate chambers for the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as a larger room for joint sessions. These are located in the “Exhibit Hall” of the West Virginia Wing, which includes vehicular and pedestrian entrances which can be quickly sealed by blast doors. The secrecy of the facility was maintained by the unacknowledged use of Forsythe Associates, an Arlington, VA, based company which nominally was responsible for television services to the resort. https://fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/c3i/greenbrier.htm

House Speaker Paul Ryan and Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake were among the congressmen aboard the train when it hit.

A congressional source tells CNN “staff and members on the train are OK,” with another source saying, “No serious injuries on the train,” only a few “bumps and bruises.”

The train departed from Union Station in Washington, DC, and was en route to Greenbrier, West Virginia, when it collided with a trash truck, killing the driver.

“There was (what) looks like a tractor trailer carrying trash that was hit by the train,” New York Rep. John Faso described.

“I think everyone on the train is OK. I don’t know that for sure, it’s a long train. But most of the concern is for the people outside,” said Faso.
