  1. It’s calls Pascal’s Wager. That’s not faith if you’re just taking the safe bet.

  2. i was raised a catholic and grew out of it. I’m agnostic.

but i still live by what jesus preached, whether or not he existed is irrelevant. the message is a good one.

    anyway….BILL HICKS!!

  3. Can i just say Bll Hicks was commenting on christians fundalmentalists not christians theres a major difference some liberal christian groups do coincide science and religion and not all are creationists just the christians in america, over in england there are christians who believe in dinosaurs and jesus so dont judge religion and put it under one category that there is ignorant itself

  4. I think people believe in a (god) because the idea that you are not special, important or relevant is just to depressing.its the depressed believers you gotta watch!! they cant wait to go to heaven and take a few people with them…

  5. I went through 19 years of that bullshit indoctrination process growing up. And that exact same process is a huge reason why you believe in god and not buddha or allah or ganesh…because when you were little they threw jesus in there with santa and the easter bunny. Just like if you lived in Saudi Arabia or the mountains of Tibet, theres no way in F’in hell you’d want anything to do with some guy names “Jesus” cuz they all go through the same thing with their gods when they’re young.

  6. And then when you grew older they said that santa and the easterbunny were both myths but Jesus remained for some reason. I come from an agnostic family and later in life I chose to believe in Jesus. No christian ever preached it to me, I found out on my own that this was what I wanted to believe by simply asking God to show me the true path according to him. The story is a little more complicated than that but I basically said:”If you exist I ask you to guide me to you.” And a proces started.
