Do you remember the Oakland, California mayor who sent out a “warning” to criminal illegals that ICE was planning raids in her city?

Well, Trump didn’t forget……

And he’s taking her down.

The DOJ is DEMANDING the anti-American mayor provide PROOF that her city is complying with federal immigration laws, and if not, federal grants could be pulled.
The Department of Justice on Friday sent a letter to Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf asking for proof the city is complying with a key immigration statute and warning failure to do so could put the city’s future federal grants at risk.

DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance Director John Adler’s letter asks Oakland’s legal counsel to draft an opinion outlining how city policies fall in line with 8 USC 1373, a section of federal law prohibiting jurisdictions from enacting laws restricting communication between local officials and federal immigration authorities.

DOJ has reason to believe some of Oakland’s municipal guidelines violate Section 1373, according to the letter.

It refers specifically to an Oakland Police Department policy: “Officers shall not share non-public information about an individual’s address, upcoming court date, or release date with [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Customs and Border Protection]. Officers shall respond to an ICE or CBP request for non-public information only when a judicial warrant accompanies the request.”

That rule appears to restrict “the sending of information regarding immigration status,” a violation of Section 1373, according to the DOJ.

Oakland has until May 14 to respond with an opinion showing otherwise.

Among California’s large cities, Oakland has been under particular scrutiny from President Donald Trump’s administration since February, when Schaaf tweeted out a warning of an impeding immigration sweep in the San Francisco Bay area. Trump denounced Schaaf for tipping off potential targets of the operation. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ department would look at possible obstruction of justice charges against the mayor, the attorney general said.
Under Sessions, the DOJ has tried to pressure sanctuary cities by threatening to withhold certain federal funds, as part of the Trump administration’s broader crackdown on illegal immigration.

It’s even worse this time, as this celebrity is a foreigner, and her reasoning is raising a few eyebrows.
Actress Charlize Theron says she’s thinking of leaving the United States and returning to South Africa, due to “increased racism.”

South African actress Charlize Theron has revealed she is considering leaving the United States because of a perceived increase in racism under the Trump administration.

“I don’t even know how to talk about the last year under our new administration,” Theron said in an interview for Elle conducted by the comedian Chelsea Handler. “But racism is much more alive and well than people thought. We can’t deny it anymore. We have to be vocal. ”

Theron, who was born and raised in apartheid South Africa, went on to claim that she fears for the safety of her adopted children, both of whom are African-American.

“There are places in this country where, if I got a job, I wouldn’t take it. I wouldn’t travel with my kids to some parts of America, and that’s really problematic,” she said.

“There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I’m like, if this continues, I might have to [leave America]. Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe,” she continued. “But they’re going to have to know that it’s a different climate for them than it is for me, and how unfair that is.

Theron, 42, whose major roles include The Italian Job, Hancock, and Mad Max: Fury Road, last month sounded off on the issue of gun rights, describing it as “outrageous” to even discuss allowing school teachers to bear arms.

“I just don’t understand when people try to make the conversation, the argument that the fix is more guns,” she said on the issue. “It is so outrageous to me.”

Other celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Samuel L. Jackson, and Barbara Streisand threatened to leave the United States under the Trump administration, although few appear to have carried through on their pledge.

Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper believes that to better represent its citizens, California should be divided.

Draper has been pitching the “Cal 3” plan for years, but 2018 has given it the sort of traction it needs to get onto the November ballot. He has gathered almost twice the required number of signatures for its inclusion — roughly 600,000 as opposed to the minimum 365,880 he had struggled to amass in 2014 and 2016.

The three states would be configured as follows: Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey and San Benito counties would make up the central Californian state; Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Fresno, Tulare, Inyo, Madera, and Mono counties would form the southern one; finally, the 40 remaining counties would be lumped into a single northern California state.

“I think that these three new states are going to empower people to realize what’s possible in government,” Draper said in an interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight. He believes that these divisions will enable a more accurate representation of the diverse populations congregated against the Pacific.
Further, to his mind, the division may enable California to solve some of its most pressing issues; namely, education. “The education system is just about the worst in all 50 states, and it’s the biggest state,” Draper said. “So it really does need sort of a revamp and a restart. And I think this is a good start to doing that.”

The recent air strikes against Syria undertaken by the Trump administration have been dominating headlines over the past day.

Congressional Democrats have been chastising the President for what they say is circumventing their rule of law while Congressional Republicans have applauded the administration for taking action in response to crimes against humanity.

However, one person and entity, in particular, that is not happy regarding these air strikes is Vladimir Putin and Russia.

The Russian Ambassador to the United States publicly stated that the bombings were an insult to the President and Vladimir Putin denounced it all together.

However, what Russia is forgetting is that the air strikes were undertaken by not just the United States but Great Britain and France as well.

Over 100 airstrikes were launched in a onetime shot in the early morning.

The Sun reported,

“General Joseph Dunford confirmed three targets had been struck at a Pentagon briefing shortly after Trump’s announcement.

These include a scientific research facility in Damascus, which is allegedly linked to the production of chemical and biological weapons, a chemical weapons storage close to Homs and a chemical weapons equipment storage site and command post, also near Homs.

Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson described the airstrikes as “highly successful” and said no personnel had been injured.

Theresa May said there was ‘no practicable alternative to the use of force’ after Donald Trump announced the retaliation to reports of chemical attacks which killed 75 men, women and children.

Russian ambassador Anatoly Antonov said on Twitter: “A pre-designed scenario is being implemented. Again, we are being threatened.

We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences.

“Insulting the President of Russia is unacceptable and inadmissable. The US – the possessor of the biggest arsenal of chemical weapons – has no moral right to blame other countries.”

Theresa May has today defended her decision to launch the Syrian airstrikes – and insisted it sent a message to the world’s tyrants that they cannot use chemical weapons. Speaking in 10 Downing Street this morning, the Prime Minister said: “This was not about interfering in a civil war and it was not about regime change.

“It was a limited, targeted and effected strike with clear boundaries that fought to avoid escalation and did everything possible to avoid civilian casualties.

This collective action sends a clear message that the international community will not stand by and tolerate the use of chemical weapons.”

“We cannot allow the use of chemical weapons to become normalised – either in Syria, on the streets of the UK, or elsewhere. “The lesson of history is when the global rules and standards that keep us safe come under attack, we must continue to defend them.”
During a press conference, Mrs May defended her decision to launch strikes without holding a vote in the Commons – but revealed she will make a statement in Parliament on Monday to allow MPs to question her.

Russian President Vladimir Putin branded the US-led effort in Syria an “act of aggression” that will exacerbate humanitarian catastrophe.

In a statement issued by the Kremlin, the Russian leader says Moscow is calling an emergency meeting of the United Nations’ Security Council over the strike launched by the US, Britain and France.

Putin added that the strike had a “destructive influence on the entire system of international relations.”

He reaffirmed Russia’s view that a purported chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma that prompted the strike was a fake.

Putin added that Russian military experts who inspected Douma found no trace of the attack.

He criticised the US and its allies for launching the strike without waiting for inspectors from the international chemical weapons watchdog to visit the area.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has also branded the attacks “crimes” and Britain, the US and France “criminals”.

He told Iranian television: “US allies will not gain any achievements from crimes in Syria.

“Attacking Syria is a crime. US President, UK Prime Minister and the president of France are criminals.

In the wake of the Parkland school shooting, Democrats are trying to take away your Second Amendment rights.

However, they’re disguising their GUN GRAB plan as “gun control.”
Many are falling for it, but this new poll exposes exactly how liberals feel about the Second Amendment, and it’s very bad folks!

Another day, another poll, and yet another example that the Left wants to repeal the Second Amendment. The anti-gun Left has tried to bury this aspect of the discussion. They say they don’t want to confiscate guns; all they want is so-called common sense gun reforms, like expanded background checks (i.e. the foundation for a registry— you can’t fully track all transfers without one), magazine limits, which bar the transfer or sale of a lot of handguns on top of so-called military-style rifles, and a ban on so-called assault weapons, which has taken the form of confiscation for some parts of the country. In Deerfield, Illinois, law-abiding gun owners have until June to turn over their firearms to local authorities, transfer them out of the village limits, or destroy them. Non-compliance is a $250-1,000/day fine. You can’t live here if you own a firearm—that’s grossly unconstitutional. In Oregon, there’s a push for a ballot initiative that has similar motives: ban assault weapons and those who own them have to register them, destroy them, turn them over to the authorities, or transfer them out of the state. Yet, throughout this anti-gun offensive, the Left says they don’t want to repeal the Second Amendment, and any discussion is just right wing paranoia.

Yeah, except that there have been polls calling for the Second Amendment’s repeal, so obviously it’s part of the debate; a debate the Left will lose…again. In a new Quinnipiac poll, one-third of Democrats support the amendment’s repeal.

On top of this, 82 percent of Democrats want a ban on semi-automatic firearms. That’s a gun ban. This is laid out quite clearly in the new bill House Democrats have put forward after the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which bans the sale, production, transfer, or importation of rifles and handguns that hold more than ten rounds. This is legislation that could breath new life should Democrats retake the House in the upcoming elections.

We’re not paranoid, folks. We’re not crazy. We heard the Left just right: they’re coming for the Second Amendment and our civil rights. This isn’t gaslighting. It’s an actual agenda item.
