Trey Gowdy, we’re going to miss you.

The fiery South Carolina congressman may have recently announced that he will not be seeking reelection, but he reminded conservatives of exactly why he became popular during a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends.”

Former FBI Director James Comey was the topic of the day, and Congressman Gowdy wasted no time in tearing into the disgraced director for his politically-charged book.

Comey’s memoir is titled “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” but based on excerpts it seems to be largely a hit piece against President Trump in retaliation for being fired.
“I think it’s sad,” Trey Gowdy said about Comey and his book. “One of the things Director Comey and I did agree on is we need an apolitical FBI.”

Gowdy criticized Comey for adding more petty politicization to the FBI by releasing his book.

“I can’t think of anyone who’s done a better job of politicizing the FBI than he has in the last 36 to 48 hours, by talking about tanning bed goggles and the length of a tie,” the congressman declared.

That wasn’t a joke. According to excerpts of James Comey’s book obtained by TheBlaze, the former FBI director seemed eager to take cheap shots at President Trump.

“(Trump’s) face appeared slightly orange, with bright white half-moons under his eyes where I assumed he placed small tanning goggles, and impressively coiffed, bright blond hair, which upon close inspection looked to be all his,” Comey wrote in one passage of his book.

“I remember wondering, how long it must take him in the morning to get that done,” the disgraced former director wrote. In another section, he admitted to smugly comparing hand sizes to Trump and being satisfied to find that his own were larger.

“That is beneath the dignity of the offices that he held,” Trey Gowdy told Fox.

Gowdy pointed out that he actually defended Comey back in 2016, when it was Democrats who were criticizing the FBI, but that everything has changed.

“I’m really disappointed… the writing of the book in general, and then some of the things he’s talking about are just frankly beneath the dignity of some really important offices he once held,” Gowdy said.

It looks like the same petty attitudes which drove figures like James Comey and Andrew McCabe to act as leakers in order to undermine Donald Trump are still driving their actions today.

Comey could have taken the high road, accept that it was time to part ways with the FBI, and move forward with his life. Instead, he’s decided to continue slinging mud in the form of a hit piece memoir… and that spiteful action confirms why he had to be let go in the first place.

BREAKING News Out Of North Korea… THIS IS HUGE!!!

BREAKING NEWS — North Korea announced Friday that it will be suspending missile testing and closing a nuclear test site, according to several reports.

“From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” the Korean Central News Agency said, according to Yonhap News. “The North will shut down a nuclear test site in the country’s northern side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear test.”

“North Korea’s nuclear test center will be discarded in order to ensure the transparency of the nuclear test suspension,” KCNA added.

Announcing the country’s new course, the ruling party has declared that North Korea “will never use nuclear weapons, unless there is nuclear threat or nuclear provocation to our country, and in no case we will proliferate nuclear weapons and nuclear technology.”

The announcement comes amid a planned meeting set later this year between President Trump and the North Korean dictator.

“BREAKING: North Korea will halt nuclear and ICBM tests and dismantle its testing site.”
“North Korea has achieved its goal of developing nuclear weapons and does not plan to conduct further nuclear or ICBM tests, state-run media reports.”
“We will not repeat the mistakes of previous administrations [and] our campaign of maximum pressure will continue until North Korea denuclearizes,” Trump said.

Trump tweeted on the North Korean announcement, “North Korea has agreed to suspend all Nuclear Tests and close up a major test site.”
“This is a very good news for North Korea and the World – big progress! Look forward to our Summit,” he continued.

It was also revealed that over Easter weekend, CIA Director and current Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo met with Kim to lay the groundwork for the prospective meeting with Trump, which could occur by early June, the president said.

However, Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he would walk away from talks with Kim if he thought they were “not going to be fruitful.”

“I hope to have a very successful meeting, Trump said during a joint news conference alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. “If we don’t think it’s going to be successful, we won’t have it. If I think it’s a meeting that is not going to be fruitful, we’re not going to go. If the meeting when I’m there is not fruitful, I will respsectfully leave the meeting.”
Right Wing Tribune reported yesterday that North and South Korea are reportedly discussing plans to formally end the 65-year-old military conflict between the two countries.

Citing an unidentified senior government official with knowledge of diplomacy and security issues, the easing of military tensions and the end of the military confrontation is a high priority on the agenda of the summit scheduled for April 27 between the two leaders, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Newsweek reports that officials of the two countries are busy arranging the summit, according to South Korean news reports. Further meetings between representatives of the two Koreas are planned for this week to finalize the summit’s details, such as security protocols and media coverage, while a direct hotline between the countries’ leaders is expected to be established by Friday, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported Tuesday.

The two leaders would meet for the first time in the Peace House, a building on the southern side of the truce village of Panmunjom where the warring factions signed an armistice in 1953, three years after the Korean War began. It would mark the first time a North Korean leader set foot on South Korean soil.

The armistice was never followed by a peace treaty. The two countries technically remained at war, establishing the 160-mile-long Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) to function as a heavily guarded border area separating the two countries. Any talks on formally ceasing hostilities would involve discussing changes to the DMZ.

CNBC reports that Pyongyang and Seoul have technically been at war since the 1950-1953 Korean conflict ended with a truce — and not a peace treaty. Geopolitical tensions have occasionally flared up since the armistice, although to date both countries have managed to avoid another devastating conflict.

A successful summit between the Koreas later this month could help pave the way for a meeting between Kim and President Donald Trump. The U.S. president and North Korean leader are poised to hold talks in late May or June, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Hillary Clinton Fantasizes About Her ‘Instrumental’ Role in Irish Peace Process… Again

Hillary Clinton Fantasizes About Her ‘Instrumental’ Role in Irish Peace Process… Again

There she goes again.

That Walter Mitty would-be-world-famous-diplomat who saved the island of Ireland and brought the peace that had eluded its leaders and negotiators for three centuries has come back.

Who are we talking about?

Well, that would be Hillary Clinton, Savior of the Celtic Isle.
It’s hard to believe, but Clinton is once again replaying her make-believe claim that she played an important role in the Irish peace process.

Don’t believe her. It wasn’t true when she made it up years ago and it’s still not true. She didn’t play any role. None at all.

By all accounts, (except her own) Hillary was a by-stander who accompanied her husband to Ireland — as any first lady would. But unlike her predecessors, Hillary had fanciful delusions about her own relevance and importance in the historical Irish peace process.

Her easily exposed fibs and exaggerations have been well documented.

The particular lines of lies about Ireland started during her 2008 presidential campaign when Clinton told National Public Radio that she played an “instrumental” role in ending the century’s old “Troubles” between the Irish Catholics and Protestants in order to shore up her involvement in something — anything — outside of domestic policy.

We exposed her growing embellishments in several columns in 2007 and 2008 and showed that it was only Bill and Hillary who believed that she had anything to do with the peace process — and they didn’t recall it when they wrote their multi-million dollar memoirs.

Even the Obama campaign vehemently denied that she had any role whatsoever. After that, she laid low for a while.

But now she’s on the loose again. In an interview at the all-women’s club, The Wing, on April 3, Hillary gratuitously threw in this line:

“I was involved in the Irish peace process and the Good Friday Accord.”

It was a throw-away line. They weren’t discussing Ireland in any way, shape, or form.

What the heck would make her go down that road again?

Just being Hillary! Remember how she landed under sniper fire in Bosnia? Except the imaginary snipers turned out to be innocent little girls handing her bouquets of flowers.

She’d been thoroughly and publicly humiliated by those dedicated public servants who actually did play a role in Ireland. David Trimble, the head of the Northern Ireland delegation who ceaselessly negotiated for peace and shared the Ulster Nobel Peace Prize for the success of the Good Friday Accord, called Hillary’s claim “a wee bit silly.” He said, “I don’t want to rain on the thing for her, but being a cheerleader for something is slightly different from being a principal player.”

Former U.S. George Mitchell, who spent years working for the peace, barely mentioned her in his book, “Making Peace,” saying only that she “encouraged women in Northern Ireland to get involved.” He also confirmed that she wasn’t “directly involved” in the process at all.

And Mitchell never referred to her in his speech at the U.N. when he received the U.N. Peace Prize.

Former IRA leader Gerry Adams, who was publicly legitimized and rehabilitated by Bill Clinton, politely recalled that “I met the senator on many occasions when she was first lady, and subsequently when she became a senator for New York State. I always found her to be extremely well informed on the issues.”

So meeting Gerry Adams and knowing the issues makes one influential in the peace process?

But throughout her campaign for the presidency in 2008, Hillary and Bill Clinton boldly rewrote history, claiming that her success in bringing peace to Ireland was all part of the vast experience that made her qualified for the White House.

DEL RIO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Highway 57 immigration checkpoint in Eagle Pass seized 78.2 pounds of cocaine worth $869,750 from a commercial bus Thursday.

“Drug trafficking organizations rely on profits from illicit substances to fuel their illegal operations,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez. “A seizure of this magnitude not only takes this harmful substance off American streets, but it also deals a costly blow to the cartels. I commend all agents and personnel who played a role in this noteworthy seizure.”

On April 19, agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station conducted a routine inspection of a commercial travel bus as it stopped at the station’s immigration checkpoint. With the help of a Border Patrol canine team, agents located multiple packages of cocaine that had been hidden inside a compartment of the bus. Federal law allowed agents to seize the contraband and the bus, which were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. At this time, no suspects have been charged in relation to this case.
And in another victory on the war against drugs, Operation Stonegarden seized more than $90K in narcotics.

TUCSON, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents partnered with Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers in Operation Stonegarden seized more than 30 lbs. of methamphetamine and arrested a U.S. citizen during a traffic stop Monday on Interstate 10 near Marana.
That afternoon, a trooper stopped a sedan traveling westbound for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 26 packages of methamphetamine, worth an excess of $90,000.

The driver was arrested for the possession and transportation of dangerous drugs and faces felony charges with the Pima County Attorney’s Office.

Collaboration between state, local, tribal and federal law enforcement agencies has created a greater force against transnational criminal organizations in southern Arizona, disrupting illicit activities in border communities.

Operation Stonegarden is a Department of Homeland Security program that grants funds to other law enforcement agencies to enhance and strengthen border security throughout the United States.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.

After Jerry Brown Disobeys Trump’s Direct Border Order, Donald Announces Swift Consequences

After Jerry Brown Disobeys Trump’s Direct Border Order, Donald Announces Swift Consequences

Know what happens when you disobey a direct order from the President of the United States?

Well, it sort of depends on the President. But in the case of Donald Trump, he’s going to tell you exactly what sort of punishment to expect.

And he’s going to be very bold, and very public about announcing that punishment, too.

So, when California Governor Jerry Brown made it clear that National Guard troops in the state essentially have no power to protect our southern border, Trump fired back fast.

After Trump ordered states to send Guard troops to bolster our porous border, Brown issued the following order:
“California National Guard will not enforce immigration laws or participate in the construction of any new border barrier.”

He added that the federal government is paying for this deployment. Wait…so we pay for the action, and you have the gall to tell them what to do?

Unsurprisingly, Trump wasn’t too pleased with this limitation of authority. He knows we need those troops to do their jobs if Americans are to remain safe in their beds at night.

As such, the President took to Twitter and ripped into Brown, saying the federal government won’t pay for troops to go to the border and “do nothing.”
He’s certainly right about needing action because illegal immigration continues to be one of this country’s biggest problems.

He then added another Tweet on Wednesday, mentioning the dire situation in California, and praising the efforts of various local officials in the state who have opposed its sanctuary state status.
The National Guard troops are there to protect us from dangerous illegal activity, such as drug smuggling and other cartel-related antics.

California has been turned into a war zone in certain spots, and it continues to be a safe haven for terrifying illegal criminals. All this has to stop.

And if it’s going to stop, we have to let border officials and our military do their jobs.

We almost hope California doesn’t obey Trump’s order, though, because it’d be great to see Trump take away more federal money!
