Democrats Livid, Melania Rocks 1st White House State Dinner With ‘Special Tribute’

First Lady Melania Trump is facing her biggest challenge yet as she hosts her first official White House state dinner. Like all things done by the Trump White House, Melania is doing things her way and has spent months in preparation for this main event. On hand will be France’s President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, and as details begin to leak out, Democrats are livid as FLOTUS announces a “special tribute.”

Melania Trump could have hired a huge staff to pull off her first White House state dinner. That’s exactly what Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton did as first ladies, but Melania refused to give in to the pressure of planning such a prestigious event. She took charge of planning the entire evening with no detail too small for her approval.

CNN reports, “So confident was [Melania] Trump about her ability to handle something like a state dinner, with its myriad details, that the first lady would not hire an event planner to help, as previous first ladies have done in the past to manage the grandeur and spectacle.”

They add, “For example, the final state dinner of the Obama administration, its 14th, was a tented affair for former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, held on the South Lawn of the White House for 400 guests. Michelle Obama wore a custom, chainmail Atelier Versace gown; Mario Batali cooked, and Gwen Stefani entertained.”

For the Trump administration’s first state dinner, there will be none of that. There will also be none of the paparazzi element that has come with past state dinners; celebrity supporters of the President are harder to come by than they were for Obama.

“A smaller, more elegant event allows a guest to have a more personal experience, and that is very important to Mrs. Trump,” said Stephanie Grisham, Mrs. Trump’s closet aide, who confirmed the dinner will take place in the State Dining Room, which can hold about 100-150 seated guests.
Mrs. Trump has also been doing some homework, educating herself about the protocol and history of these sorts of White House events. This is to ensure her selections for the Macrons’ visit have meaning behind them, down to the china, flowers, color scheme, and menu, which, while American, will highlight the influence France has had on American cuisine.

“Mrs. Trump selected every item and every detail for the dinner, from the entrée to the chair cushions,” said White House social secretary Rickie Niceta.
But, as details leaked out, the Democrats are livid. First, President Donald Trump decided he didn’t want anyone there who has not been supportive of his administration, which means, yep, you guessed it, no Democrats got an invite. Trump also shunned the mainstream media; they won’t be allowed access.

Then, there’s Mrs. Trump special tribute to the Macrons, which has the Trump-haters doing backflips. Melania loves giving gifts with a special meaning, and she has outdone herself with her original choice for the Macrons and France. Mrs. Trump’s special tribute gift will be a framed section of upholstery from one of the chairs in the White House Blue Room.

Featuring a golden eagle surrounded by laurels, the chair was part of the furniture suite inspired by Pierre-Antoine Bellangé, the famous French designer who was commissioned to create 53 carved and gilded pieces for the Blue Room by President James Monroe in 1817.
After the furniture had gone into disrepair, First Lady Jackie Kennedy found the spare pieces and brought them back during her quest to restore the White House. Democrats and swamp dwellers are aghast that Melania is “giving away White House heirlooms.” What a joke. She is taking some discarded upholstery which has historic meaning between the U.S. and France and is turning it into a wonderful gift of meaning.

Melania was also adamant that the dinner is held in the White House State Dining room, instead of out on the lawn under tents. The Obamas always held their packed state dinners under huge white tents, which is a turn off to Mrs. Trump. It is also another reason the guest list had to be kept to a minimum of 150 people, thus the Democrats, who have done nothing but try to impeach Trump, didn’t make the cut.

In celebration of Earth Day, The Daily Caller News Foundation takes a look at the biggest climate regulations and agreements President Donald Trump’s administration has put on the chopping block, unshackling U.S. businesses from burdensome regulations and curtailing former President Obama’s climate legacy.

The Clean Power Plan

The Clean Power Plan — the Obama administration first proposed it in 2014 and finalized in 2015 — places a limit on the amount of greenhouse gases power plants can emit. The plan aimed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from power plants 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030. The policy was a centerpiece of what Obama critics referred to as his “war on coal.”

Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt would sign a proposed rule to repeal the CPP, he announced on Oct. 10, 2017. Undoing the rule will save Americans $33 billion in compliance costs, despite the previous administration claiming it would only cost $8.4 billion and save millions through public health benefits, EPA officials estimated.

Waters of The United States

The Clean Water Rule, otherwise known as the Waters of The United States, was enacted in 2015 in an attempt to clarify which bodies of water and wetlands are designated for federal protection. However, the regulation was met with immediate backlash as critics pointed to ambiguity in the rule opening the door for possible government overreach. Pruitt led a multi-state lawsuit against the rule when he was Oklahoma’s attorney general, calling it “the greatest blow to private property rights the modern era has seen.”

Trump signed an executive order on February 28, 2017, calling for a review of the plan. On June 27 of that year, Pruitt would repeal the rule, he announced. The EPA is now in the process of reissuing the order but with a more clear definition of “waters of the U.S.” meant to lower compliance costs to businesses and minimize intrusion to private property.

Vehicle Emissions Standards

In 2012, the Obama administration adopted stringent new vehicle emissions standards. The rules would have applied to cars and light trucks made between 2022 and 2025, requiring them to nearly double their average fuel economy to 54.5 miles per gallon. The new emissions standards were a component of Obama’s pledge to adhere to the Paris Climate Agreement.

Trump’s White House had long considered the standards as unnecessarily burdensome on U.S. automakers. The EPA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration would be drafting entirely new greenhouse gas emissions and mileage standards, Pruitt announced on April 2. However, the move is igniting a fight with California — a highly populated state with a waiver to set its own car regulations. Liberal California leaders have vowed to keep intact the tougher regulations the previous administration re-enacted — they have threatened to fight the Trump administration in court over the matter. Pruitt, on the other hand, has expressed interest in removing California’s waiver.

Media Virtually Silent on Pro-Gun Rally That Drew THOUSANDS

The “March for Our Rights” was held in Olympia, WA and drew nearly 3,000 pro-Second Amendment patriots, who are sick and tired of liberals trying to squash their rights.
A “March for Our Rights” rally held in Olympia, Washington, drew about 2,500 gun-rights supporters who don’t want progressives quashing their Second Amendment rights, the Olympian reported.

Gun-rights advocates, who gathered on the steps of the state’s Capitol building, want to stop lawmakers’ proposals to raise the minimum age to purchase semi-automatic weapons from 18 to 21, along with other restrictions.

The rally came on the heels of the second round of “March for Our Lives” student walkouts on Friday that took place across the country.

What’s the story?
More than a dozen speakers called for support of the Second Amendment at the state’s largest pro-gun rally held in years, according to the Seattle Times.

“I come out and see people like this and it gives me a lot of inspiration. This feels amazing,” Aryeh Rohde, a junior at South Whidbey High School, told the Olympian.

Rohde, 16, organized a similar event last month while other students participated in the “March for Our Lives” class walkouts, but the school’s principal stopped his efforts and sent the students back to class.

“Why is the only solution they yell for gun control, gun confiscation, gun registration?” asked Marty McClendon, chairman of the Pierce County Republican Party. “Instead of defending our constitutional rights to keep and bear arms daily by playing defense, slowly but surely allowing our fundamental rights to erode one law at a time, one bad politician at a time, it’s time to play offense.”

What do these lawmakers say?
Former state Rep. Elizabeth Scott (R), who’s running for state Senate, said she’s not open to any gun-control laws.

“My point is that many of us have reached the point where we don’t care what their next liberty-restricting gun proposal is, we are a flat out no,” Scott told the crowd.
State Sen. Phil Fortunato (R) told attendees that gun-rights advocates must help stop Democrat lawmakers’ measures to add gun regulations to the November ballot.

“We’re going to start a campaign that says ‘decline to sign,’” Fortunato said. “Don’t sign it.”

The liberal speech police have claimed another victim in the form of country music superstar Shania Twain. The “From This Moment On” singer rankled progressive feathers this week and was quickly met with an epic backlash that threatened her career. However, her response to the backlash made things even worse for her.

The controversy started for Twain on Sunday after an interview with The Guardian. The Canadian citizen said that she would have voted for President Donald Trump if she were allowed to vote in the United States. She said that she liked the president’s style of being straight with the people rather than being a typical politician.

“I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bullshit. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?” she said.

That was all that was needed for the progressive jackals to attack her. After that interview was published, there was a frenzy of attacks against the star on Twitter, calling her out for supporting the president.
“Shania Twain, you don’t impress me much,” LGBTQ actor Harry Cook wrote.

“She knew, and she still supports him. Stop offering grace to ‘benign’ whiteness. No one missed that damn campaign. We all saw it. She still chooses hatred,” self-proclaimed “queer” writer Charlotte Clymer wrote.

She did not vote, Clymer. She is a Canadian citizen. That research would have been simple to do on Google if you were not in a rush to attack her. Maybe the fact that only US citizens are supposed to vote is an abstract concept to this person.

“I’m not offended by Shania Twain saying she’d vote for Trump but rather for the reasons she offered: ‘I would have voted for him b/c even though he was offensive, he seemed honest’ & she ‘doesnt want bull shit.’ White supremacy’s a helluva drug. 52% of white women went for Trump,” New York Times writer Wajahat Ali said on Twitter. Because having an opinion that is not shared by liberals means that you are a white supremacist.
“I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed in shania twain because I don’t have high expectations for most people in the first place (especially rich white women) but damn. this blows,” a Twitter user named King Crissle wrote. That is how long it took for Twain to go from beloved music star to white supremacist racist in the eyes of unhinged liberals.

It did not take long for Twain to fold to the pressure. After the interview was published and the backlash began, Twain took to Twitter to apologize for having a thought that did not align with American liberals.

“I would like to apologise to anybody I have offended in a recent interview with the Guardian relating to the American President. The question caught me off guard. As a Canadian, I regret answering this unexpected question without giving my response more context,” she wrote to start a series of apologetic tweets.

“I am passionately against discrimination of any kind and hope it’s clear from the choices I have made, and the people I stand with, that I do not hold any common moral beliefs with the current President,” she said. “I was trying to explain, in response to a question about the election, that my limited understanding was that the President talked to a portion of America like an accessible person they could relate to, as he was NOT a politician. My answer was awkward, but certainly should not be taken as representative of my values nor does it mean I endorse him. I make music to bring people together. My path will always be one of inclusivity, as my history shows.”
Apologizing for having an opinion of your own? That don’t impress me much. Perhaps she was concerned about her album sales. However, the majority of country music fans are Trump supporters, so this apology will cost her, literally.
