Delingpole Earth in ‘Greatest Two-Year Cooling Event in a Century’ Shock

Our planet has just experienced the most extreme two-year cooling event in a century. But where have you seen this reported anywhere in the mainstream media?
You haven’t, even though the figures are pretty spectacular. As Aaron Brown reports here at Real Clear Markets:

From February 2016 to February 2018 (the latest month available) global average temperatures dropped 0.56°C. You have to go back to 1982-84 for the next biggest two-year drop, 0.47°C—also during the global warming era. All the data in this essay come from GISTEMP Team, 2018: GISS Surface Temperature Analysis (GISTEMP). NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (dataset accessed 2018-04-11 at https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/). This is the standard source used in most journalistic reporting of global average temperatures.

The 2016-18 Big Chill was composed of two Little Chills, the biggest five month drop ever (February to June 2016) and the fourth biggest (February to June 2017). A similar event from February to June 2018 would bring global average temperatures below the 1980s average. February 2018 was colder than February 1998.

To put this temperature drop in context, consider that this is enough to offset by more than half the entirety of the global warming the planet has experienced since the end of the 19th century.

Since the end of the Little Ice Age in the 1880s, the planet has warmed by about 0.8 degrees C. You might think that was not a particularly drastic rate of warming to worry about. You might also note that such a rate of warming is well precedented in periods throughout history, such as during the Minoan, Roman and Medieval warming periods. Nonetheless this 0.8 degrees C rise – 0.9 degrees C, at a push – is the terrible climatic event the alarmist establishment has been assuring these last few decades is the worst thing ever and something that should worry us awfully.
So is this sudden cooling an even-worse thing? Not necessarily. As Brown goes on to explain in his piece, you can’t extrapolate trends from such a short time scale. Well, not unless you’re a climate alarmist… As we know from long experience, if it had been the other way round – if the planet had warmed by 0.56 degrees C rather than cooled, the media would have been all over it.

My point is that statistical cooling outliers garner no media attention. The global average temperature numbers come out monthly. If they show a new hottest year on record, that’s a big story. If they show a big increase over the previous month, or the same month in the previous year, that’s a story. If they represent a sequence of warming months or years, that’s a story. When they show cooling of any sort—and there have been more cooling months than warming months since anthropogenic warming began—there’s no story.

Meanwhile a study by Judith Curry and Nic Lewis – also largely unreported by the mainstream media – confirms what skeptics have been saying for years: that the computer models used by the alarmist establishment to predict global warming are running too hot.

According to Investors Business Daily:

In the study, authors Nic Lewis and Judith Curry looked at actual temperature records and compared them with climate change computer models. What they found is that the planet has shown itself to be far less sensitive to increases in CO2 than the climate models say. As a result, they say, the planet will warm less than the models predict, even if we continue pumping CO2 into the atmosphere.

As Lewis explains: “Our results imply that, for any future emissions scenario, future warming is likely to be substantially lower than the central computer model-simulated level projected by the (United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), and highly unlikely to exceed that level.

This brings projected “global warming” from being potentially dangerous to being easily manageable. Which is why, of course, it is unlikely to get much attention from a scientific establishment and a complicit media that much prefers to ramp up the global warming scare – even when the evidence doesn’t support it.

Bars Can Legally Throw Out Trump Supporters, Judge Rules In Northern State

Going out drinking in a big city bar has its problems. It’s noisy. The places are crowded with loud, irritating people. And there’s always a chance you’ll get caught up in a barroom brawl.

Then there’s the overpriced drinks, the bad music, the pickpockets and con artists waiting in an alley. Honestly, you’re better off staying at home.

Now there’s a new reason to avoid big city bars: liberals.

Since the election of Donald Trump, Democrats have good reason to drink. They’ve been flocking to Northern bars to drown their sorrows. Like the rest of their petty ilk, they don’t like being reminded their candidate lost.

So, when a man visiting from Philadelphia walked in with a MAGA hat, things got ugly. The owners of the bar threw him out, saying anyone that supports Trump was not welcome.
The man was rightfully upset and took the issue to court. Naturally, the judge was a liberal hack who decided it was okay this man was discriminated against.

A Manhattan judge ruled Wednesday that there’s nothing “outrageous” about throwing the president’s supporters out of bars — because the law doesn’t protect against political discrimination.

Philadelphia accountant Greg Piatek, 31, was bounced from a West Village watering hole in January 2017, just after Trump took the oath of office, for wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap, according to his lawsuit over the incident…

But on Wednesday, when the bar’s lawyer, Elizabeth Conway, pointed out that only religious, and not political, beliefs are protected under state and city discrimination laws, saying, “supporting Trump is not a religion” — Piatek pivoted…

“Plaintiff does not state any faith-based principle to which the hat relates,” Cohen said in tossing the case.

Piatek had sued for unspecified emotional damages, but the judge said the incident amounted to nothing more than a “petty” slight.

This ruling basically says that it’s okay to mistreat someone for their political views. A bar has to serve gays, Muslims, minorities—but a conservative? I guess they don’t have the same rights.

This is more petty, ugly liberal bigotry. They want conservatives to just go away. Some want us dead in the streets. While few of them can make that happen, they can at least treat us like second-class citizens.

The incident is a clear violation of this man’s civil rights. Why should a man be treated less, just because he has a different political view? Advocates have fought for years to make sure people of all races, sexuality, and religions are treated equally in the United States. But according to this judge, that same equality doesn’t extend to your political views.

It sets a dangerous precedent. This judge essentially said liberals can treat conservatives however they want. They can abuse them, attack them, or throw them out of bars. What next? Will conservatives be denied seats on airplanes? Will Trump supporters be kicked out of schools? How about getting a job or opening up a bank account?

How far will this discrimination go? It’s pretty shocking to see liberals—who claim to fight injustice—so happily embracing bigotry.

What was that called again? Oh right, hypocrisy.

HAPPENING NOW The DOJ Finally Caves and Hands Over CRUCIAL Evidence to Congress

The DOJ has finally turned over the so-called “missing” text messages from anti-Trump FBI agents Strzok and Page.

Congress received the texts on Thursday and will begin pouring through them to hopefully piece together the “insurance policy” against President Trump puzzle that Agent Strzok referenced in past text messages.
The Justice Department on Thursday gave Congress five months worth of text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page — two FBI officials involved in the investigations into Hillary Clinton and President Donald Trump’s campaign.

The messages, exchanged between Dec. 14, 2016, and May 17, 2017, were initially thought to be missing due to a technical glitch on FBI-issued cell phones. But the texts were recovered by the Justice Department’s office of the inspector general, which is investigating the FBI’s handling of both the Clinton and Trump campaign investigations.

Approximately 300 messages were given to Congress, a Justice Department official told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Strzok, the former deputy chief of the FBI’s counterintelligence division, was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia team in July 2017 after the discovery of the text messages. They showed Strzok and Page expressed deep hostility to Trump during the 2016 campaign.

Strzok oversaw the FBI’s Russia investigation when it began on July 31, 2016. He was also a top investigator on the Clinton email probe. He helped conduct the interviews of Clinton and several of her top aides.

The congressional committees that received the text messages are likely to pour through them to find any information that might shed light on political bias from Strzok and Page as well as their thoughts on the Clinton and Trump investigations.

Some of the text messages released so far have drawn scrutiny from congressional Republicans.

One in particular is an Aug. 15, 2016, exchange in which Strzok referred to an “insurance policy” he wanted in the event of a Trump election win.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok wrote to Page, referring to a conversation they had in then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s office.
“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

Though Strzok was heavily critical of Trump in the texts, he indicated to Page in one exchange he believed there was not much evidence of collusion against the Trump campaign.

“You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I’d be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern that there’s no big there there,” Strzok wrote to Page on May 19, 2017 — two days after the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel.

Strzok was referring to the Russia investigation when he said he believed there was “no big there there,” a source close to Strzok confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

I use Amazon a hell of a lot because I live in the mountains far away from liberals and criminals.

I purchased Amazon Prime and frankly, I don’t even really comprehend how to use it. I thought it just sped up my deliveries lol.

So, I am going to cancel it when I’m done writing this article.

Matthew Rocco at Fox Business reports that Amazon announced on Thursday that it will raise the annual price of Prime subscriptions to $119, a 20% increase.

The e-commerce giant, which reported first-quarter earnings that more than doubled, currently charges U.S. customers $99 for an annual subscription. Prime, which offers unlimited two-day shipping and video streaming, cost $75 when it launched in 2005.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos recently revealed for the first time that Amazon has more than 100 million paid Prime members Opens a New Window.. The price increase, effective May 11 for new members, could drive additional revenue growth for the company.

Seattle-based Amazon earned net income of $1.6 billion during the first quarter, up from $724 million in the same period a year earlier. On a per-share basis, earnings jumped to $3.27 a share, far exceeding Wall Street’s estimate for $1.27 a share.

Revenue surged 43% to $51 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $49.87 billion.

Shares of Amazon rallied nearly 7% in after-hours trading, putting the stock above its all-time intraday high of $1,617. President Donald Trump’s criticism of the company, particularly over sales taxes and Amazon’s relationship with the U.S. Postal Service, had sent the stock 13% lower in recent weeks.
Bezos said Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company’s cloud-computing business, has seen “remarkable acceleration” in its growth for two consecutive quarters. During the first three months of 2018, AWS added new enterprise customers including GoDaddy, Shutterfly and NextGen Healthcare.
