Although the royal wedding seems like a great way to burn through $43 million dollars of British taxpayer money at least Prince Harry did something that was good with that huge gift.

Losing a parent is something that can devastate a person of any age, and it couldn’t have been easy for Prince Harry when he lost what is possibly the last royal family member who ever had the respect of the entire world. Diana Princess of Wales. He was only 12 then.
But 20 years after his mother Diana was k****d in a tragic car accident as her driver was trying to evade the constant cameras Prince Harry decided to honor his mother in a way that not many in this world could ever dream of being able to do for their own mothers.

Princess Diana was there in spirit throughout the whole engagement and her son and daughter-in-law made sure to include her memory every step of the way. At the wedding ceremony, the couple left a seat open for her. If she had been alive, that’s where she would have sat to watch her youngest son exchange wedding vows.

Even the engagement ring, Prince Harry gave Meghan Markle used two diamonds from his mother’s personal collection and Markle’s classic bouquet of flowers had some of Diana’s favorite flowers, forget-me-nots, which Harry picked himself the day before the wedding. They also involve Lady Jane Fellowes, Princess Diana’s sister, in the ceremony. Where they had her read from Song of Solomon at St. George’s Chapel.

And last but not least Markle did what both Princess Diana and Kate Middleton did to their vows. they all omitted the word “Obey.”

It’s nice to see all these tributes to a woman who was not only a great mother to both her sons, but who was so important to a world that so needed her.
