Maxim Naumov, who lost his parents in the plane crash over Washington, D.C., a year ago, made his Olympic debut on Tuesday by landing his triple lutz-triple toe loop combo. He closed with a pair of level 4 spins, and put up his season-best score of 85.65.
Before the Games, we spoke to Naumov about losing his parents, and how he was able to get himself back on the ice: https://nyti.ms/4rgoMMO
